Maple shaft...that was one of his requirements for his endorsement, so cuetec' started offering maple shafts.

There was no one playing with the level of equipment in earls time as we have now and vice versa.

Since there are no such players on either side imo, this interesting question is just a wash.

But I think several of Shane's opponents could hang with peak Earl, and beat him on occasion. I'm not sure about the reverse, since I don't know who Earl faced. I suspect not, though. And Shane's opponents would be favored over Earl's.
