This quite as a church mouse pool setting is killing American pool , when we were at our finest was when pool halls were smoke filled loud venues action players like Keith , Cole Dixon , Cj Wiley and so on not only played well but thrived in those conditions ever wonder why the Filipinos play so well YouTube some matches over there , people crowding tables street noice rooster crowing and so on nothing bothers them thier conditioned to anything
Our players now wilt under these conditions Kieth would be jawing with the crowd and in a split second get down on a shot and fire it in ,
Give me 5 of him and you got a winner

I don't think they made 5 of him, or if they did, he used 3 or more of them up already.

Or maybe all 5 however in the world of I want to be like Mike in the pool wold give me I want to be like Kieth confidence and fearless plays to the crowd and does not wilt under pressure a guy that says I'll give the world the 8 and Walter the 7 😄

Sheeeat, HE'S got the 7.

Course, I just quit playing for money.

This is what's wrong with American pool. A flashy shot maker with poor fundamentals and a questionable temperament is pretty much the opposite of what you need to win this competition.

Truer words have never been spoken. I'd rather have 5 Johnny Archers in his prime.

Give me 5 McCreadys in the Mosconi Cup. Who wins? The answer won't and shouldn't shock you. In a race to 11, it's gonna be like a nightmare that keeps getting worse and worse.

5 Keith Mccready's would have been a great show, but the match would have been over a day earlier.

Simply nowhere near good enough, but the legend's the important thing, huh?

They've been told for years. They'll never listen. This yearning for a non existent golden past will never end. There is only so much sympathy they deserve.

Cripes if you're going to put the mans name in the title then learn how to spell it

Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure Keith will get a kick out of reading this thread, with the exception of the trolls who continue to target me.

Unless you're referring to the second post in the thread, literally nobody has even mentioned you.

Great in gambling, but not in a team sport with no bonus cash on the side to be won.

Not many loud smoked filled venues in Europe either. In much of Europe you can't smoke anywhere indoors if it is even bordering on being a public space. USA was at its "finest" when Europeans weren't trying their hand at "American" pool and Asians didn't have the global exposure to even consider competing against the USA's best players.

Back in the day, the smoke filled rooms were full of people playing some kind of billiards on some kind of billiard table. Saying that the USA was at it's finest when it
playing only against the USA is a little inaccurate, a little misleading, a little desperate and a little lol.
The USA will win the Mosconi Cup back at some point. Excuses from those who weren't even playing won't faze them - the next team will win because they score more points than the opposition.

What did he even win? Anything?

He was mostly a gambler, but I'm sure he won a few titles in his day.

I know he had an unorthodox style, but no doubt he would be even money or better against anyone on Team Europe.

I think the biggest difference between him and any of the players on Team USA is that Keith wasn't known to rattle easily. Plus, he was a quick shooter, and we all know how much you love fast players :)

Jam, they were waiting for you, they must have pretty pathetic little lives. Spewing nasty comments waiting for your response then posting almost immediately.

Five Keith's would have been something, but I don't think the world, let alone europe would have been ready!
