Points Too Far Forward

FWIW, I really don't care if the points are "perfect", if that is what you are meaning.

Assuming both cues played the same, I'd take a cue with imperfect points that looked old-school over a cue with extended points to the collar that were perfect.

So basically, your admitting you started a thread, for absolutely no reason at all, huh?..I see..
..very clever!

PS..You missed my edit, in post #35!

pt109...Is that with the shaft on or off the cue...to feel the "tremble"? I've done that with the shaft on, but not off.

My first test for buying a cue is to hold where I would hold the butt normally to shoot.....
...and I tap it against my bridge hand about eight inches below the joint.....
...if I don't feel the cue tremble all the way to my hand holding the butt...don't want it.

I started a thread saying that I prefer the look of cues with points that are proportionally equivalent to the look of old-school cues made by Balabushka, Szamboti, and others. I didn't say there was anything better or worse about any other cue or maker.

I didn't start a thread to have you, or anybody else, come in and start some other shit that has nothing to do with the subject of the post.

You have a habit of doing that. If you don't like the subject of the posts on AZB, move along, or post something that you think will entertain others, or even just you.

What kind of cue do you like? Did you have a Moochi or a Wallabushka?

Who's you talking about , and I'm not arguing I'm pointing out the difference not all are the same that's all I'm pointing out
There's a big difference it points some being just looks others are looks weight and structure of the build of the cue

Not arguing buddy, we're on the same page, or at least as close as you can get on AZ

Great thread+ and I'd still have a drink with both of you

Shaft on, for sure.

I have a Meucci Pro shaft that is super sensitive. If I hold my cue on the handle and barely scrape the chalk across the tip of the cue with my other hand, I can very distinctly feel the vibrations in my hand holding the cue. The butt I use with this shaft is a McDermott RS-11.

I noticed this by accident one day and haven't tried it on any of my other cues, shafts, or combinations thereof.

Sorry Mr.Eye, but I find it highly entertaining, (as others seem to) just making you look foolish! ..As I said, a cue maker, or how it looked, was never that important to me!..OK, I shall move along, as this is conversation is going exactly where it usually does with you! ..Slinging insults, is by far, your best game!

In case you haven't noticed, I didn't have an insult one in this thread until you came in and tried to derail it.

I'm the opposite, I don't like points that are too short. I don't like them touching the joint but anything between an inch and Gus' longer points are good for me.

I went back and read through and found you are the one slinging insults. Interestingly you found time to do that on Christmas. Do you have no family or friends? Perhaps you don't celebrate Christmas?

Very rude in any case.

This is how you get entertainment? Gaining pleasure from making someone else look foolish is a feature of a sociopath. Interestingly, your attempt fell so far from successful I have to question your grip on reality.

With the popular dimensions used for the different sections in todays cue making, Titlist style too low, by the joint too high... Szamboti style...just perfect to the eye...

Many would argue that people like different things but that doesn't mean that in the true sense of design there aren't "rules" that if followed won't make the look of something more naturally appealing to the eye. The use of the Golden Ratio for example..

You apparently didn't go back far enough in our history to get the whole story!..Maybe you should spend less time on your erroneous criticism of me, and more on things you know something about..(hint; pool ain't it)..It only tells me you don't have much of a "grip on reality" yourself!

PS..I had a wonderful Christmas, thank you!

Only this guy could turn a thread about points into a piss fest, how long before he gets booted here, cause all he does and I mean all he does is stir up shit, about litteraly anything, I have him on ignore but still see his comments when others quote them
