Ronnie OSullivans American Hustle Season 1 Episode 1 on Youtube

Really he beat Earl in the MC and obviously that ain't his game I highly doubt if he put his nose the grindstone playing 9 or 10 ball there would be a long line to play him and one thing is for sure no body would be in a line to play him in snooker

I could've swore that I read somewhere on these forums that when Ronnie was here in the states he fell in love with 1p. He said it was the best game he'd played on a pool table. And we all know that if you play 1p there's money involved. (sry, quoted the wrong post).

If they would just follow Earl around with a crew 24/7, he would be a huge tv star.

I follow him on twitter and I definitely remember him tweeting out those comments.

It was interesting. I didn't even know they were doing something like this.

Kind of reminds me of Anthony Bourdain's shows, except it focuses on Pool instead of food.

I really want to see the Chicago one, since it's home. I see he was going to Chris' which is cool. Wonder if he found anyone to "hustle" there

Also he goes to Billiards Cafe after that to play Jeanette Lee. Did she move here? Is she our "local legend" now? The show page on the the History Channel site said he is trying to hustle and play local legends.

I got an "insider" hint that Ronnie was in the area filming this when I was in Chicago for Jr Nationals with my son during the BCA show but I think I missed him being there by a few days. Wonder if I would have been able to get my son on the show, he's a top 12 jr player in the US and I think a bit of time on the kids may have been nice for the show.

Looks like I'm late here. The link in post #1 now says:

  • "Ronnie O'Sullivan's America..." This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by North One Television.

Anyone know where else the show can be found?

Did he make it on the show? Would be pretty cool to see him play one of the kids. I'm surprised he was not at the event with them saying hi to the kids, would have been a nice part in the show.

im not sure if they any of the kids got to play him (at chris's), i think they did. I think they also got a group pic with him. (this is from what i vaguely remember from facebook from a bunch of months ago lol)

Thats a really excellent point. When he tried to hustle the older man in the pool room who was later told that Ronnie won 5 world snooker titles, he not only hadn't heard of Ronnie but the significance of the feat didn't seem to register with him.
I do not think the older man knew what Snooker is! Or if he did, he probably did not know how big it is in the UK, Europe, and Asia, or just how great a Snooker player O'Sullivan is. His (the older guy) cuing technique says a lot about him, although he does promote pool just by renting a table, so good for him.

I really liked it...it is written from the European (British) perspective, and is trying to introduce more than just American pool, but some other aspects of our culture. Very classy and well done.

Thanks for posting the link, I wouldn't have known about this, otherwise. Fun and interesting show, I thought.
Looking forward to the next show, when they are on my home turf here, Chicago! Looking forward to the showdown between the Black Widow and Ronnie, at Chris'. I'm gonna pay attention to which table they play on, then try to go and play on the same table, should be fun.

I'm sure I'll be in the minority, but I thought it wasn't that special. It was fun seeing a lot of those pool halls getting some exposure though and my league champ from two seasons ago was shown during the Carom Café visit so that's pretty cool.
