Chohan retired. You think frost will now ?

Frost semi retired well before the match. With his pool hall in the process of opening this year I think he said he wouldn't be traveling any longer to play. He is going to stay in Arizona & probably just shoot in that area alone.

Being in the top three in the world is not a cause for retirement.

...'course, Thorpe is looking to move him into fourth.

Frost has been at it from some time now and done more than his fair share to promote 1P and cue sports in general. I mean, he's no Toupee Jay, but he is allowed to step back a while and run his Hall. Im actually more of a fan of Frosts now.... and Dennis too from the level of play I saw.

I Learned so much from watching. Granted, I've only been playing 1P seriously for about 3 years, but wow.... just wow.

I would love to see Dennis play Alex some time this year for the crown of large action king of 1P. Right now its Alex... all Alex, all day and night. It would be epic. I would really like to see the exact same format for that challenge. race to whomever gets to the multiple of 10 games over 4 days, rack your own, alternating breaks, no weight. Stone cold killing floor blues.

Reborn hardcore into 1P after that match...

Maybe frost can host d.o. And Alex match at his new pool room this year. That would really jump start his room when he opens.

I would guess that this opinion is in the minority, but I don't think it is clear that Alex is the undisputed king of 1pkt action. When Alex played Scott in that ahead set several years ago and won, how many games did it take for Alex to beat him? Dennis just beat Scott by 11 games going to 40.

I do know that I wouldn't bet on Alex vs. Dennis. I'd just sit back and enjoy the show.

That lesh is a smart dude.

And i think scott conducted himself like a fine adult. Took his whuppin and didnt give a hissy fit.

Even wiped the table for dennis!! Hahahaha

This is a great idea, I hope this reaches Lenny/Scott quickly because I don't see why this wouldn't take off.

Wouldn't a big factor be how involved he is with running his new business, might eat up a lot of his time.

he was the best, then got robbed by alex twice so secon best, then got robbed again, it seems like whenver someone steps up he becomes the next best

i doubt he is top 3

i think choha, thorpe, beat him tomorrow

he is not travelling anymore? He didnt travel anyway so same old then

Yeah with all 20 people that showed up to watch this last match. Not trying to be a negativity nancy but the place was empty and they didnt even put table skirts around the arena to make it look half way decent. Really sad display for an event that was suppose to be big. Who was the promoter??

Yeah, only 10,000 watching online, such a shame.
By the way, I always liked the One Pocket game of Shannon and Jeremy and even Gabe when he was playing. I wouldn't be too quick to write these old gunslingers off. I feel sorry for the young gun who tries to give one of these guys weight. FYI, you are not over the hill in One Pocket at age 40. You're actually in your prime! JMHO as always.

P.S. If my buddy Dennis wants to give Shannon 8-7 I'm switching horses. Shannon might give him a Bank Pool lesson, lol.

Nancy, in my opinion that live attendance figure isn't what is important, but the 99 times over the weekend I heard "Coles Carom Room" is important. Guess where I am going to go if I am ever in that area? The place that comes to mind easiest that I have heard has a good reputation. Coles Carom Room.

Yes I agree with the online turn out but if this was held at Steinway the would've had to turn people away at the door. The problem with pool is on site attendance for these events and that is a direct result of promotion. Look at Bonus Ball!! You had 10 people watching some of the best players in the world and no applause for any great shots. Its really sad

I agree. Dennis is definitely better.

Since I'm a patriot Canadian, I will have to bet on Alex. Now, since Dennis must be better, who's going to give me odds on Alex if he and Dennis actually do play? lol

Steinway is in the most dense city in the USA right? A lot more people would have to travel significantly to Beloit than taking the subway to Steinway. You're comparing apples to hot dogs.

Bleachers

There were lots of people there watching. This is a quote from Fast Lenny- "You can't see it but there are bleachers on each side of the table set back and tables that go around the table. It might look like there isn't a crowd but there is probably ranging around a 100 people there from what I have seen with more coming and going throughout the sessions. Even at the conclusion of each night there are still 50 or so sweating it. Each camp has 5-10 people with them alone for support. I will try and get a picture tomorrow showing the crowd better if I get the chance."

Nice of him to wipe the table for Dennis as Dennis was wiping the table with him.

They both were excellent ambassadors of the game during that match and it shouldn't go unnoticed.
