he moved to Denver back in the 80's and became pretty tight with Frank Burgess the owner of Colfax Billiards and then table Stakes.
Then one day was gone, but i never heard where he went. Played pretty fair 9 ball, but pretty nitty too!!

LAKELAND - Sondra K. Ledford, 71, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2011, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure.
She was born September 21, 1939, in Beckley, West Virginia and moved to Florida in 1985, where she was a loving wife and mother. She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, country music and great food. She competed in pool tournaments in the Midwest and even played in the U.S. Open.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Leon Ledford, three daughters, Rhonda Lopez of Dixon, IL, Denise Khidirian of Lakeland, FL and Michelle Lenderman of Rockford, IL, two sisters, Dreama Hubbell and Trecia Settle both of Connellsville, PA, one brother, Herman Settle, Jr. of Beckley W VA, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Scott Lake Baptist Church, 5811 Scott Lake Road, Lakeland, FL on Tuesday, June 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 1525 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, Florida 33805.

Wow sorry to hear this. She was a very sweet girl. They also had a very pretty daughter. WOW she must be near 40-45 now
 
While I never new Leon personally I have heard a few stories. He did work & own a pool room in Rockford but left town just when I started on the scene.

I should see a few guys who knew him well this weekend and will pass along any new info.
 
Leon was, and maybe still is, a partner with Jimmy Thomas at Wally's Billiards in Lakeland.
