So I am playing in my BCA league tonight and there is a guy just playing by himself in the corner. He is throwing all 15 balls on the table and just making shots.
Cool.
In between shots of my matches I watch him a little and I think, "you know he can play a little, a lot of shots are going in"
So I mention to my friend, "hey that guy is good"
I know a lot of the good players in San Diego and I don't really recognize the guy.
I am just starting to think he may be a pretty decent player.
So I am watching from time to time and he is still just throwing all 15 balls on the table and making shots. Not the greatest way to practice I think but whatever. But then I notice him hit a couple shots in rotation, and I realize "oh he's actually playing rotation"
So when he clears all the balls I am thinking wow, this guy is pretty strong. Wonder who he is.
About that time he finishes up his rotation practice and does some drills, and they are pretty impressive, so I realize he is a very very high level A player or pro but I don't recognize him.
He leaves and I go to the bathroom, and in the bathroom is a big framed picture of Dennis Orcollo..... of, OH!!....I think "hey that guy was really really good".
Just a little fun thing I thought i'd share.
The team we played was missing a player and their captain also having no idea who he was thought of asking him to sub
