Players touching the table with the tip of cue

Ok well these are just some suggestions I think could improve the game. Obviously there are exceptions and not all of these things are going to be outlawed...but some of them definitely should be in my opinion...especially the original one of not allowing the tip to touch the table.

I am a terrible player, but I'd like to play you. The first time I got to shoot I'd get two brides, stack the heads on the table, touch the spot for the ghost ball, touch where I want the cue ball to end up, measure a bank with my cue using the diamonds and get my jump cue out chalk the shit out of it, look at the spot on the wall I've pre measured and take my shot. And watch your head explode.

oh ya...no spot on the wall either...my walls will have nothing on them to "spot".

You want things the way they were? Can you tell us when diamonds were added to tables? How about bridges?

lol...I could play you left handed.

me first so i can make him lose his chit and end up on suicide watch in one of those sweet white jackets in a padded room......with the diamond system etched on all the walls in glorious fashion.

dudes off air worse than the flat earthers

Those white lines on the table too, god they've always bugged me, talkin' bout aids.

Boston Shorty in his day would negotiate an agreement where he could climb on the table, to lessen the disadvantage of his short stature.

Earl would have agreed with 'no jump cues' since he was one of the best jumpers using his regular cue.

The advent of 10' tables seems to require extensions or extra long cues.

If Mosconi were still giving exhibitions he would insist on what he was used to: 5" corner pockets, and 5.5" side pockets. slow cloth, and mud balls...

The one change I would like to see would be a return to push-out 9-ball like we played before they went to one foul BIH to speed things up. Unless a person was a 9-ball fan during the sixties and seventies they have never seen great 9-ball strategy.

With Simonis fast napless cloth, and Aramith balls, it is rare to not see a ball made on the break by a pro, so all break cues really do is protect your playing cue during breaks.

Good point. Then outlaw the phenolic tip...the break cue must be the same as a playing cue.

Actually, no cues at all. Everyone has to roll it with their hands... and your hands have to be a certain size. Hands that are too big are a cheating aid...
