I'm my world pointing is not a foul, even if they touch the cloth and diamonds belong on tables.

Can you imagine in league play how difficult it would be to enforce a no pointing rule.
Without the diamonds I won't be able to keep score

So to summarize.

No touching the table with your tip.
No measuring with your stick like the mirror system or lining up a kick or rail shot...you know how they pivot with the stick from the pocket etc.
Remove the diamonds from the table.
Take the rest (rake) out of the game.

Also take out jump and break cues...should have to jump/break with playing cue.

Ah..ok now I understand. This is a pure troll thread.

I don't use any of these things I have listed...if they need to use them then what does that say about their game?

If by "they" you mean pros, it says that they know the rules of the game they are playing, they give themselves the greatest possible chance of winning within those rules, and, um, it says they play at a pro level. What level do you play at?

No. It should not be a foul. It is not a foul. Why would you think this? I haven't read the thread, but my guess is that few will agree with you.

the dude chalks...drags his cue tip across the table...the chalks again and shoots. It should be a foul according to the rules.

Yes, if you actually mark the table w chalk behind the ob, it is a foul. That is in most rules I've read.

[1.39 Marking the Table
It is a foul if you intentionally mark the table in any way to assist you in executing any shot or future shot. Marking includes the deliberate placement of chalk or any other object at a specific point on a rail or cushion to aid the alignment of a shot, or placing any mark on any part of the table. The foul occurs at the moment you mark the table, regardless of whether you remove the mark or whether a shot is taken.

And this would include any colorations or natural marks in the wood of my shaft? Maybe a little knot somewhere? Outlawed?

I didn't even know it was a rule and when I saw it I knew it should be a rule. Dude chalks...marks the table where he wants his line...then chalks for the actual shot.

Also, this guy should be called for a time violation EVERY shot...poor Efren.

Heck no...just a purist. While we are at it we should not allow low deflection cues either.

You think we should ban cues that are *called* LD or marketed as such, or cues that meet a certain measurable criteria of squirt? Who will do the testing? I assume this will be performed at every event every day of the event? What amount of squirt is the threshold for the ban?

Yes...another player can call the other players cue into question during the match...like when they call the ref to measure the curve of a players hockey stick in hockey.

Please play someone and call that a foul, then report back to us.

BTW there was no intent to mark a cushion or rail, infact the rail and cushion was avoided.

:p

Read again. The dude drags his freshly chalked cue across the cloth after tapping the rail.
