Tightning pockets the right way (Calling RKC!)

I would like to tighten my Diamond Pro cut pockets to 4 1/4 " because I imagine most Pro tournaments will go that route. Actually, what do the pros play on for the following tournaments?

US open:
Turning Stone:
Mosconi cup:
World cup of pool:

Anyway I have some shims from pro pockets for a quick fix...I guess my question is, what is the proper way to do it...just adding an extra shim will create a wrong angle I imagine..so do I need to order new rails from Diamond? I want it tighter but to still play true, and not have balls hang up all the time if you hit it off the face...it should go off one face...hit the other face...and drop.

The correct way, build up the sub rails so you can use longer cushions with no shims.

The 8 and 6 in the first picture won't go in side by side.
You are pushing 4 1/4" with the current pocket angles.

All the major pro tournaments are 4.5" pockets.

The only occasionally ones that have a few select tables that are tighter are hard times and the main TV table(Rasson) at the WPS 8ball tournament.

Looks to me from that photo shown that pocket with the 8 ball and 6 ball is a true 4-1/2" (2.25" x 2) at the mouth of the pocket. If it was 4-1/4", the the middle of the balls would not be even with the start of the mouth of the pocket, in my opinion.

The last two Mosconi Cups were played on Rasson tables with 4¼" corners (apparently shallower shelves in 2016 than in 2017).

ya...using the balls (2 1/4") is the easiest way to measure a pocket. Here is a video by Diamond Billiards on it.
