...

I have been playing with Revo for 1 week now and I got to know it reasonable well to show you my practice with it. Enjoy

I enjoyed this. I will try some of your drills. You seem to play very well...I suspect your Fargorate may be a bit low haha! Actually, maybe I have the wrong guy. Are you the 688 or the 765?

I am building up to getting a Revo shaft, but I insist on waiting until I can get a 3/8-10 joint with a warranty. Any suggestions on that front would be most welcome!

EDIT> I see by your youtube name that you must be the 688 Marek. So my original statement stands haha. I'd like to get up to 700 some day. Not sure if that is a realistic possibility. I was 671 but stunk a bit since then and dropped to 650. I guess I better get back to doing drills, which I seemingly never do.

Yes I am 688 Marek. As a matter of fact there are not many tournaments in Europe which go into Fargorate system. As you can see my robustness is little over 400,two tournaments ago I was 639 i believe, then after Eurotour in Klagenfurt I jumped to 681 and after Eurotour in St.Johann i went to 688,my start into Fargorate was quite bad due to the fact I was insanely nervous at Eurotour at first. But i have learnt to cope with the pressure to a reasonable level so i can pose a threat to anyone basically if my break works (thats not always the case),Kaci escaped an execution by my hands just barely last time  And with Revo i will be able to play MY game at Eurotour, that superlow deflection of Revo will allow me to use sidespin effectively even on the new cloth with new balls where the deflection rises to unbearable levels with "normal" LD shafts:eek: ;) Next Fargorate tournament for me is European championships in July,i definitely hope to join the ranks of 700s there :)

Awesome!! Great stuff to hear. I tried your drill, recorded some of it. Was a little unclear on the rules. You're definitely making me want to get a Revo. Good luck in July!!

I got the opportunity to play a rack with one recently. I had a few cues at the pool hall to take pictures and a guy came over to see. He offered his Revo for me to try. It was kind of funny really. I made my shots, but rattled every ball. It would not take much to adjust to it. It felt nice. I don't think it could do anything that my cue (my old Joss) could do. I do have to pay close attention to keeping the Joss shaft feeling the way it does though.

If you mean my "snooker drill" then its quite easy: you setup the balls as in vid on the line 2 diamonds from the foot rail - 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2. The last ball is 15 which you spot on the center line 1 diamond away from the head rail. you have a ball in hand at the beginning and you pot 1 then 15,15 gets respotted and you play 2,then 15 which gets respotted etc. I hope this makes it clear ;) And the name "snooker drill" comes from the fact that in snooker you alternate reds (balls 1-10 in this case) and black ball (15 in this case);)

Yes this is the one. I didn't realize there was an order to the balls in the line. I love the drill!! So another question: can you go in front of the line of balls with the cueball? Like can you follow 2 rails forward to get shape on the 15? Finally, are you allowed to shoot the 15 in any pocket?

Thanks a lot I'm going to work on this.

Hi, Marek, I was wondering - now that you've had more quality time with Revo, what's your sentiment on it? Do you still feel so high about playing with it or has some of that novelty wore off? And what's more important - do you feel your game has improved in any way, shape or form from using Revo? I've watched some of your older clips (pre-Revo), and you were an excellent player to begin with, that's why I'm curious.

Short answer: yes,Revo is fantastic shaft for me, I cant be any happier with it ;) As for my game - i definitely became MUCH stronger player at tables with new cloth, rails and balls, Revo allows me to play my game without needing to change my game because of lesser friction between cloth and balls hence higher deflection - Revo has so low deflection even on higher velocity shots that you just dont need to adjust for it. And even on "normal" condition tables I improved in a way that i can run out even very advanced layouts with much higher consistency. Overall shooting with Revo gives me so much joy, its been years since I enjoyed my game SO MUCH! Its about that feeling when i really can play anything my mind concieves at the table..so fulfilling...
I guess you get the picture:thumbup:

I guess you get the picture:thumbup:

...so what you're saying is it's not really that great, ha?
Cool, thanks for the update. I have one on the way as we speak and was curious to hear an honest assessment from somebody as relatable as you. I tried it before, but really only gave it about 5 hours of play before deciding it wasn't for me. Deep down I always felt like I haven't given it a proper shot. This time I won't make the same mistake and we'll see what happens.

Very good Potting ... The 5 Ball draw shot really took off. Do you give that response to the Tip & Shaft or your abilities. Nice setup you have...
