The most I ever spent on a cue...description only...

I was wondering how people would answer. I was going to make a survey, but I want people to use their own words if they want.

I am not concerned about how much you spent. I am not concerned about who made it. Just descriptive terms. I am really curious how people will answer.

Trades don't count. Just cash purchases. This should be based on what you actually spent, not the value (for example, my most valuable cue is not the one I spent the most on).

You could say:
New
Used
NOS
Beat Up
Custom
Custom Order
Production
Old
Antique
Great Known Maker
Known Maker
Conversion
Full Splice
Short Splice
Merry Widow
Tribute
Carbon Fiber
From a Dealer
From a Friend
From Ebay
From The Maker
Found on AZB

You could use other descriptive terms.

I'll start it off.

The most I ever spent was on a cue that could be described as:

Used
Ebony Titlist Conversion
Old (1969)
Known Maker
From a Dealer

Damn! What didn't you like about it?

It was WAY to stiff, much more than any of the Franklins I tried. I couldn't justify keeping it, when I couldn't play with it. I shot with it for 4 mo., determined to adjust, but it was'nt happening....sold it for 2100...lol

Did you try to convince yourself that you liked it when you received it?

Edit : Omitting the name
Waited 1 year and 2 months (short compared to average)
Best thing I've ever picked up in my life. Plays as it looks (gorgeous!!)

Ebony nosed, I picked my colors (blue black maple), picked the veneers and gave a detailed description top to bottom on specs, length weight diameter balance point.

Had the cue-maker take the color combo and let him know he could do with it what he wanted.... he's the artist....

I'm never selling it:D

Thanks guys.

Very interesting answers. I look forward to more.

You don't have to say who made it, or how much you spent...but it's fine if you want to.

Some of the side comments are interesting. Everything from "best cue I ever had" to "I hated it".
