Watch old videos or players that were around in the 70’s-90’s can testify the level today is much higher. More players string 3’s,4’s, and five packs than ever before oh yeah and 6 packs and up too. I believe Shane has taken pool to this level. More players focus on the break and stringing racks which makes pool so much more exciting.

It is instant imo. Instant it reaches his cue tip, it deviates. I don't see a table length curve.

I am agreeing it was a foul. That bend was far too dramatic for a pool ball/ table.

Kaci made a thread about it on Facebook after somebody sent him the video but he didn't complain and no sour grapes on his part, he gave Shane congrats on the win.
And said he respects SVB and thinks Shane would of called it on himself if he knew it was bad.

I think Kaci ended up deleting the thread because some of the comments got out of hand Karl Boyes said it was a foul and said Americans players are known for cheating basically calling Shane a cheater :eek:

PS After maybe 1000's of comments on Facebook about the shot, it seemed like it was a pretty even split on foul and no foul.

Only three opinions really mattered and they all said no foul. So let’s get back to argueing aiming systems, flat earth freaks and Scientology.
 
No foul. CB effect is inside English shot hard off quick rail on new cloth. The ball is sliding and rolling over as it turns.
 
The cue ball definitely hit the tip of Shane's stick on the rebound.....

I watched the vid a couple times at regular speed and could not see a foul. Sure, the cue ball's path curved after, but on new cloth I would not immediately assume that it was because the cue ball contacted his cue.

If it was a foul, it appears only one that could have easily be detected in slow motion or frame-by-frame analysis. A very slight contact with his cue after the cue ball rebounded back, in the heat of the moment, maybe wouldn't have been easily detected by Shane either at that fast of speed of shot and movement he had to make.
 
Wait, did someone say Karl Boyes was calling someone else a cheat? Seeing as he’s an expert at it he would know. YouTube is filled with videos of him acting weird and distracting opponents while they are shooting.

I am a fan of SVB and did not see a foul on my HD monitor at slow speed, watched it several times. If I was not a fan of his I may have been undecided and therefor it would be a foul!

Did Karl really call Americans cheats? Did he mention names, tell me he called Hatch a cheat, I would willingly be Hatch's "second"!

As I age I find my self wondering more and more why we abandoned the art of "dueling". May I suggest fisticuffs or blunt instruments?

If that is not possible then lets have them "duel" on the table. Maybe 8 and 10 ball winner breaks and a race to twelve in 8 Ball and twenty one in 10 ball.

Jay can be the racker and Ken the ref!

2 posts in 7 years? I hope your 1st one was much, much better than this fallacy. The people that were there including Shane's opponent all said there was no foul, you seriously dont think they were watching???

John, I would refer you to the Bank Pool finals at DCC against John Morra, when Shane called a two rail bank and made it four rails instead. We both know what happened after that.
 
maybe someone can tell myself and any other who doesn't have the science part of pool down yet how it would continue at that speed if it touched his time again at that speed. I think explaining that would explain if it was a foul or not

I mean just watch the video with sound....
