Q: knowing the gas system in the AR should there be a visible blank adapter on that thing or have I been gone for too long?

They probably said the adapter was a compensator since it's installed at the muzzle. That's my guess anyway :thumbup:

ARs don’t cycle with blanks unless you have a totally obvious blank adapter screwed onto the flash suppressor. Which much to my chagrin several other people had already pointed out.
