Seriously??? Let's see, criticize the emir-5yrs in prison. The foreign workers building their shiny new soccer stadiums? About 1 notch above slave labor with that kafala system still going on. Well, I’ve seen references here to “towel heads” and you know that isn’t nice.
Question for you guys, what do you think of the very stoic, cold and bland feel of the way this is being ran? The streams are basically the same camera work we have for the majority of tournament we see with the one fixed camera. Low lighting. Only noise you hear is the surrounding tables.
Also, wtf is up with these referees? Why aren't they racking for the players? Anyone else find that odd?
I only bring this up because I recently got around to seeing some of the play from The International 9 Ball Open and the production values were TV quality there. And Accu Stats does not have the money resources that this company running the world 9 ball has.

Yep it’s pretty poor. They have area referees who appear to be looking after just a handful of tables yet they aren’t racking for the players. That’s odd. Probably someone in Qatar has paid a fair bit of money for this just to have the privilege of having it there and considerations for those that are interested in the event itself are a bit lacking.

Just out of curiosity - what exactly does give you the right to label any country as a "dump"? What makes you feel so entitled? Why do you think that your point of view on human rights is the only right one? Btw are you really sure that your country doesnt have any problems with human rights? Are you really sure that your country doesnt contribute to the sufferening anywhere in the world? Even in that very region???
I definitely wouldnt like to live in Quatar, hell no! BUT its their country and not mine or yours to criticize. And speaking of pool - Quatar is apparently the only country willing to host world championships atm.

.....................It is great there are always such players participating in WPC who are fun to watch due to ...it looks so easy, natural and fun when you watch them playing... Chris Melling is a good example and if he will be on a mission tomorrow we may witness a really HOT match against SVB who in my opinion really deserves the title. It's going to be a good test on the way but it's the last 16 of WPC... All I can wish to the players is to show their best because it's one the most important part of the show. Such players and matches are one of the biggest positives of this event even if it could be organized way better...

Here in the US, I suppose we're just desensitized to the "racist" stuff. If you don't agree that all white people are evil, you're labeled a racist here. If we don't think the government should control all property and loan it to each person equally regardless of their effort, we're labeled as nazis. I would guess most women who have experienced freedom would agree that every place that practices Sharia Law is in fact, a dump.
