PSR and CTE Aiming.

Way to go, Joey........NOW you're getting the idea of the purpose of aiming systems.
(even though it may be in a rather oblique way).
The mechanical aiming systems merely raise the percentages for what you said in your first line..............TO END UP HITTING THAT CONTACT POINT WITH THE CUEBALL (in the most efficient and consistent way available).:thumbup2:
That's the whole deal of mechanical aiming systems and their purpose in the life of a pool player.
Admittedly learning the "how" of using one is another story entirely. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to throw those CTE DVD's against the wall and forget the whole thing. BUT.....I had paid money for them, I saw other people doing it, and I just could not swallow the idea that all of them were smarter or more talented than me.
So I stuck it out. You too can do the same thing....it isn't something that requires a college degree or trigonometry or any of that long winded "intelligentsia" crud.
Merry Christmas to you.
More Natural Cures claim.

Joey, I hold you in high regards, plus you have taken time to give me some cue building advice along the way, so last thing I want to do is get on your bad side.
But I got to ask, why the interest in CTE if you think it's snake oil so to speak.

B/c they contradict the system all the time .
This goes back years .
They made some outrageous claims including some pros going to some aiming guru to consult with him on an aiming system.
Back then, you could take lessons over the phone.
There are only few shots in pool.
Then they start claiming such pro uses the system.
I go check him play at Hard Times. I don't see no pivoting.
I see him line up the contact point aiming with his stick.

Now, the system is the PSR. It gets you to the contact point. The contact point that is not supposed to be a factor in the system. It has nothing to do with the system.

And in this thread Low500 was asked to describe the PSR.
He went on and on with his excuses why he can't describe it.
It's a PSR for crying out loud.
Oh, you need Pentagon clearance to get it .

Sorry I failed you, Joey. I tried hard to communicate what to do.
Maybe things will get better for you in the New Year.
Merry Christmas.

You tried hard skating around it.
Almost got away with it too.

" I can tell you, but I'd have to kill ya."

Have you ever seen Efren pivot? How about Bustemonte?

Efren walks his bridge hand. He uses the ghost pocket aiming and has openly said as he aged it's been harder to see that pocket.
Bustamante practice strokes at the left edge of the cue ball but can quit doing it too in the middle of a game. And has been doing it a lot less now.

So you basically avoided answering.
I'll help you. Bustamante obviously pivot aims. There really is no denying that.
And Efren, yes he does pivot. I know someone with an extensive video library of him pivoting.
Just for clarity i'm not saying they use CTE, but they clearly pivot aim.

Bustamante does not pivot aim.
You are also confusing Efren's way of applying English as pivot aiming.

Let me know if you speak Tagalog and driven Efren around.

Here ya go Dan.
Let them claim he uses a pivoting system .

These guys who keep claiming the two use pivoting system are all over the net.

They claimed to have interviewed them too.

Yes, I've seen that. The funny part is when the interviewer asks Busty if he adjusts for "cue ball deflection" or what we might call squirt. He says "no." The guy is obviously playing totally by feel from a lifetime of play. I also caught the part where Alex says if he isn't aiming well for some reason he will just start hitting straight in shots for hours at a time until he makes like 100 in a row and then he's good again. He doesn't talk about how he goes back through the steps of his super secret aiming system.

Not confusing anything with Efren. I've seen his pivoting.
And i've had friends talk to Bustamonte about his aiming also. It wasn't an interview like a chauffeur would do, lol.
I've also seen an instruction on pivot english the way you are talking about Efren and Buste using it.
But you are right about one thing, i can't speak Tagalog
