You don't realize that video was made to prove the opposite? Did you watch the whole thing?

Yes, but my point was forced follow. Oyster can do the draw shot like Massey but he's a body builder and takes his hand almost to straight on the back swing. Most of us can't do that. Most of us can do the Massey shot with normal strength.

I think the cue tip was level with the top of the CB for a while and he dropped the tip at the end. Wish we could see his elbow on that shot.

why would anyone stroke like that ???
ie drop the tip at the end if that was not a natural finish??

power spin shot with pendulum stroke by tim white...a/k/a the oyster
you cant see his elbow well but the cue tip ending on the table after hitting cue ball on the horizontal axis should be enough evidence.
i know this is not power follow but it shows how much power and spin can be generated
with a pendulum stroke
power force follow coming next week....

You want some of this?

It doesn't count because he is a bodybuilder.

This is bit ridiculous, a debate on stroke style/type. I don't even think diehard baseball fanatics do this with sidearm vs overhand pitchers? Do they? What about submarine pitchers? Lol. There are greats using each style, just like the pool player's stroke. I was straight overhand with a baseball, but sometimes I'd throw a quick sidearm from nowhere...whatever felt right for the moment.

I still don't know exactly which classification my pool stroke fits into as far as piston or pendulum, and I couldn't care less, because whatever I'm doing feels right and works for me. I think major stroke overhauls may benefit beginners, but usually all a developed player needs is a little fine tuning with what they already have.
