Let's All Support Stan

I don't know anything about chasing off pros. And I don't doubt that if Brandon has more CTE knowledge now than he did then.

As far as pro endorsements....they really dont mean much. I mean, these guys were world beaters prior to CTE pro1. The type of endorsements that matter are ftom average players that have actually improved.

Keep telling yourself that. lol

Keep it up ol' boy and only bad things can come of it.

Yea you've learned to say just enough to get 6 hour bans and then get reinstated.
Shove your warning, i'll post what i want.

PS i take it you agree with what Lou posted, "teach anything they want" even if you don't know jack shit about it

This forum was created to get aiming threads off the main board which was being destroyed by them. The subtitle of this forum is "argue to your heart's content." So the aiming forum was "ruined" the day it was created. It was designed as a dumpster where the fire can burn itself out. Over time the mods decided to censor the opinions in favor of allowing falsehoods to be propagated. At least now it is mostly civil... mostly.

The "falsehoods" from the naysayers are whats totally ruined this forum. Why not just let people talk about aiming without all the negative keyboard know it all posts. If whats posted isn't true the people actually trying it on the table will know.

In whose world is exposing false statements equal to running everybody off? I have numerous videos, one in particular, that prove conclusively that certain claims that were being made were false. If you are interested pm me your email address and we can go over it there. It isn't allowed to be discussed here.

You think you have something in your own mind. You have never once posted any credible evidence. One shot showing a stroke flaw, thats all you have

So, how about that book??? Anyone have an inkling as to when it is going to be available for purchase?

In John Barton's interview with Brandon Shuff, Brandon mentions that the book will be out soon. So it could be any day now.

If (insert the name of your favorite pro pool player) says a particular cue, or glove, or table, or mouth wash is the best ever, I doubt anyone here is stupid enough to believe it.

People endorse product for all kinds of reasons. Few of them having anything to do with belief in the product itself. And honestly, what a pro player is going to get out of a particular product is going to be far different than whatever benefit an average player will. It's like giving a good glass of wine to a master level sommelier and giving the same wine to your average wine drinker. Same wine, two different levels of appreciation. It’s as you say: the endorsement of your average Joe would be of greater value. But even there, most won’t post video to evidence their quality of play. So you are forced to take those endorsements with a grain of salt.

I will, because it's the truth. The most beneficial reviews, opinions, endorsements, etc... for any product, come from regular people that have actually benefited from that particular product. By "regular" I mean average, not already established pros. Cameron Champ led the PGA in longest drives last year. If he comes out today and says his success stems from the latest and greatest 2019 driver design by Ping, it doesn't mean much, at least not as much as if Joe Blow tells his buddies, "I'm getting an extra 25 yards from the newest Ping driver."

But this doesn't mean professionally endorsed products aren't great. It just means a better test or endorsement is when the majority of average users say, "Yes this product is good". And when Stan's book becomes available it will be subjected to this type of test by those who puchase it, unless it won't be available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, BAM, etc...where any Joe Blow can find it, purchase it, and give their opinion on it. And of course your opinion matters, along with other CTE users here that can actually say their game has improved because of CTE. That means more than any pro endorsement.

But what if a pro player teaches you a great to shoot particular shots and works with you so you can do them the better way also?

That what Brandon is offering, much more then an endorsement.
He's not too far from you, why not schedule a lesson and see for yourself?

Who the dickens do you think you're fooling with that stuff?:frown:
I bet you'd practically wet your britches if some big time pro came out and publicly endorsed that book you're hyping and selling about "Poolology".
Of course, THAT'S ALL DIFFERENT isn't it. That's YOUR pet project so then it means something.
*gag*

You are absolutely correct, but only because I know a lot of people get giddy when stars talk, whether it's pro athletes, movie stars, or rock stars. People are so influenced by these figures that they rush out and buy anything endorsed. It's called advertisement, and pros and stars get paid for it. We've all bought numerous pool books and dvd's with pro endorsements/blurbs all over the covers, yet still many of these products were just not that good.

I spoke with Nick Varner a few years back, and also Bob Henning (author of "The Pro Book"). Both told me the same thing: If a product is good, worth buying, it'll sell without any glamourized endorsements.

He may end up being a great instructor. Right now, just because he's a great player I don't assume he's a great teacher. But he may be. Regardless, if I were to ever take a pool lesson from anyone it would not be to learn CTE or any other aiming system.

OK, this may sound odd coming from me, but...

In Stan's latest video, he asks for public support for his upcoming series in which he is going to tell the truth about CTE, his "Truth Series." I'm all for that and I encourage others in this forum to let Stan know that we all would like to see more like 20+ videos, and not 6.

Yes, I have had issues with all this, but I'm always up for learning something new, and I really like Stan's videos and encourage him to run with the Truth Series.

Please add your positive support!:thumbup::thumbup:

My guess, from watching Stan's videos in the past, is that the explanations will be so convoluted and poorly explained that it will still seem like a conundrum wrapped in mystery and hidden under a tarp behind the garage.

And I am not negative at all about this as a method for aligning eyes and body to determine a proper shot line. It works for that in my opinion. But is and always will be a means to approximate while the brain finishes fine tuning the shot placement.

Agree with all of that.

Actually there are several videos. I posted one in particular that proves my point, but it coudn't be rebutted or denied, so you guys ignored it. Either that, or you simply didn't understand the implications. Stan didn't ignore it. He made another video to try and rebut the evidence but the cat was already out of the bag.

Like I said "in your own mind."

Yet here you are, spending every waking moment in the aiming forum lol

Like I said "in your own mind."

That's a response typical of someone unable or unwilling to argue the science that is presented to you. Who is responsible for the bickering -- the guy who presents clear evidence for serious discussion or the guy who responds by saying "in your own mind" and doesn't even try to enter into an actual discussion?
