527 would have been the 9th ball of the 38th rack. [37 full racks of 14 balls plus 9 in rack 38 = 527.] As support for what I am saying, note John's mention of Doug (racker) calling out 588 and 602. Those were the totals after 42 full racks of 14 and 43 full racks of 14. So ball 527 was not a break ball for a new rack.

Now...DynoDan I thought the same thing at first until I did some math. How intense would that be though if he had started a new run mid rack and had to use 527 as a break ball...it would be a mental nuke. Do you go for just 1 over and maybe shake a ball or two loose or do you go full bore and risk rattling, scratching, (especially with that crazy 434 break scratch in mind) or just somehow dogginda9. I guess it didn’t happen that way but one can wonder.

I say the video will be out in 2 weeks time.
 
I just feel like that teaser was put out for a reason. My initial thought was 1 month but I came down to 2 weeks. Something about it just gave off that “we know you wanna see this and it’s basically ready but we have a few esoteric details of some sort to figure out first and we want to make sure people are riled up and thinking/talking about this run before we actually release it in 2 weeks” vibe.
 
John was very eloquent in that video. I appreciated what he had to say about his run, his place in history and his vision for the future of our sport. I for one am glad he went on this quest and succeeded. 626 is a big number! :thumbup:

The following had nothing to do with you and I am sorry you assumed they were about you:

I kind of cringed when Lou referred to you in such a nasty way. I thought for sure he would get a time out for that since it is clearly not acceptable on this forum, but it seemed to slide by unnoticed. I don't have a dog in this fight but I do know you quite well and I've found you to be a stand up guy at all times. I don't know Lou nearly as well but he tells on himself with his posts on here.

If he continued that progression then the next run would be about 88, followed by 250, then he would have broken the record with a 700 +.
