He consistently inferred Jack would be hands on and flat out said it several times. Nobody will ever pin down what he paid or what they are worth but Schmelke cues start at about $60 and it's nearly impossible to spec one out over $275.

I like that guy because he seems to have a good heart. I think it's time for me
to exit this thread and let it settle as it will. I tend to want to give folks the benefit of a
doubt because I've seen people get handled rough that didn't deserve it, but the
road to hell is paved with good intentions I guess. Anyway folks have a great Covid free day.

Not everyone has the stomach for the truth. Your constitutional freedom allows you to criticize the government in public, not say things in a privately owned forum and not be challenged. Red rep? I don't even think I know how that even works. Sounds pretty harmless.

I got red repped by one of Dean’s buddies yesterday. Like people actually think that I, at age 48, may have a moment of reflection and deep introspection due to that red mark and a comment....I have over 2B points, and have been green repped by Smorg. That’s all that counts, for me, when it comes to rep around here.

Typing something in the rep box for someone, be it a red or green is free speech, complaining about something someone typed to you in a box is also free speech, as is complaining about them complaining.

As for Glen, another table mechanic on here talked with him, Glen knew about the situation, it has apparently happened before, Glen was signing in daily for months on AZ after that thread was started, apparently, he didn't realize it shows a members last login in their Itrader. I was all for giving the guy the benefit of the doubt at first, but if you have someone's money and rails and won't respond even though you are on here daily, well you are going to get your balls busted.

Yeah it is but the nasty comments made it wonderful. He accused me of an
ignorant comment, he has no idea how ignorant I can be lol. I'm going to laugh like hell
when the whole thing is found out. I worked in semi law enforcement field and you do
that for 30 years and you start to see what probably wasn't said. Things come out different
during interrogation. I still think there's more to it. I'll bet there are few apologies. They'll
blame Glen for not clearing it up for them when it wasn't his responsibility to.

Wrong. This is an open forum and folks can have opinions on anything they want, whenever they like. You have opinions about chalk and I've never wronged you, or any customer in my 5 years since I took it over.

If Dean wants to act in an unethical manner, that is entirely up to him. But, if he thinks folks will NOT call him out for it, he has another thing coming. The true test in all this is some folks have bought cues from Dean in the past and had a good experience but are now saying this wrong.

It matters not what your reputation is in business. Because, I've got a good one, perfect i-trader, over 800 transactions on Ebay, and sell chalk in 15 countries without a complaint.

But, if I bring out a "new" improved version of MC and "hint" that I"m using some of my old connections in the Russian world, but wind up selling Silver Cup with a MC label, folks would have a problem with that, including myself. I can't stand up and say, "hey, i've got over 200,000 satisfied customers, blah, blah, blah" That matters NOT to anyone that was hoodwinked today.

What would be funny is relabeling Masters chalk, selling it as Magic and then when people find out they defend you and the price markup, LOL.

If Dean was not in it for the money, then why would he go to I assume to be the cheapest cue maker in the country (Schmelke) to have the cues made, and then resell those cues for well over double (or maybe even triple) the price that he paid for them?

On top of all that, he was completely dishonest, when telling everyone that Jack Potter of Libra cues made the cues.

I assume that every buyer who purchased a Jackpot cue assumed that Jack Potter was the person who built the cues, that they paid $500 to $600 each for.

Why would any seller who does not care about money (or is not in it for the money) do something like that to their customers?

Even if every single one of the buyers ended up knowing that they purchased a custom Schmelke for $500 to $600, and were still happy with the deal, that still does not take away from the fact that what Dean did was wrong.
