I haven't gone back thru all of a four yr old thread.I agree with what you say, most people have noticed these differences but it still does not apply to my response in another post.

I've played on D's since they came out. Well aware of all their versions and how they play. I never really minded how the Red's played. Sure they banked short but it wasn't a huge adjustment. I went to DCC in '07 and never heard any top player whining about them. Mostly on here.If you want "Crib Notes," a summary and demonstration of the important facts can be found here:

I'm no scientist. We just adjusted. Others tend to whine.Have you seen my table comparison video:
The Diamond table tests start at the 8:26 point. I personally consider that a huge adjustment!

DCC started when, '99? There were some complaints about the tables but not much. I know Efren never said one thing. He just smiled and beat everyone's ass. The Blue's didn't come out until '10 iirc.I can adjust on a Diamond also. I would just prefer not need to adjust so much. The kicking and banking systems in the video work very well (with very little adjustment, if any) on all tables in good condition except Diamonds. To me, that is a problem, and it should have been fixed a long time ago (ideally, before they sold any tables).
But you are right. To be a good pool player, you need to be able to adjust to differences in equipment and conditions.

From what I have read in these various threads the banking issue has been resolved with the "Blue Label Spec" tables being sold currently.
Thanks .. very curious .. my Diamond furniture model table will deliver next Tuesday .. built to Blue Label specs .. whatever that really means. The Blue label Diamonds I've played on also play fast and bank short (compared to most other tables). The next time I have convenient access, I'll do another video.
Means it will be damn fine to own. Enjoy and invite us over. Thanks .. very curious .. my Diamond furniture model table will deliver next Tuesday .. built to Blue Label specs .. whatever that really means.
I was falling out of pool around then and remember the first diamonds that began trickling into our area and they were brutal. Oak red labels.DCC started when, '99? I guess it's easier to adjust if you're Efren. I know the first time I played on a red label 7 footer I couldn't come close to making a bank shot. I hated it. I've adjusted somewhat but still prefer Brunswick. Maybe because that's what I played on for decades before Diamond showed up. I just feel more "at home" on the Brunswick.DCC started when, '99? And I can just bolt it to my gc4 frame/ slate, right?I called Diamond yesterday. It’s $2000 for a Blue top to replace the old crappy ones. You can also buy the leveling system to turn the old tables into a mostly new Blue label.
I wouldn’t be too sure about that. The newest pool room to open in Vegas has 30 Rasson tables…I could not care less about the rest of the world. Diamonds and B'wick GC's(Chinese table btw) will always be the table in the US. I don't see Rasson ever being big in poolrooms over here.

Little different having springy rails on a 9 ft versus the same springy rails on a 7 ft. And extra inch or two sometimes does not make a difference on a 9 foot, but locks you up pretty good on a 7 ft. And not really good to complain about the folks putting on the tournament. The fact is, even Diamond knows it was a bad design and changed it.DCC started when, '99? There were some complaints about the tables but not much. I know Efren never said one thing.
