Diamond arrived update

Update guys Heath called me saw the post from a fellow member. He said everything will be taken care of. He apologized for the experience and said that's not normal. He said diamond has a production meeting on Monday and wants to me to send some more pics over and we will go from there. I'll keep everyone in the loop but I have no doubt Heath will make it right.
Heath will definitely help make things right. He's that kind of person.

I ordered thru Heath Manning which lots of people recommend. I'll call him on Monday I guess and see what the deal is. I just wanted to see if these sort of issues were normal or not from some people that own diamond.
The best way to buy a Diamond is to buy it through a Diamond Dealer that handles their own sales, delivery and installation, That could be the factory or your local Diamond Dealer. Why he is even allowed to sell tables ANYHERE in other USA dealers territories is beyond me.... Not to mention if you have a problem? THERE IS NO WAY FOR DEALERS LIKE THIS TO FIX IT. Keep us updated??? GOOD LUCK!

It happens with every manufacture of every product. Diamond is feeling the dresses that Bruswick felt decades ago. You want perfection? Build what you want. Going to complain about a few blemishes?, ok. Enjoy. Might as well not play on that table. Most these clowns can’t play a lick.

10 grand, in advance, sight unseen and are not supposed to have a question or two if it isn't right? what is your point. "Oh well, it's going to get scratched up anyway"? I don't think so. I have owned a few new cars and I don't expect them to arrive with dings and scratches.

Buying a USA made product, through a canadian middle man who's website leads me to believe he is in USA and is not, that does not ever touch the table, makes 100% zero sense to me. This is what I did. When I was still in CA, I called Diamond directly for a recommendation for a certified dealer in Las Vegas. He recommended Mark Estes of Shay's Billiards. I placed the order (8 foot Pro Am) and it was delivered 10 days ago. Table was completely assembled. They bolted on the legs and leveled it, good to go. Install was less than 2 hours. Mark was in communication from start to finish (14 weeks). The bolts for the slate levelers were loose, so I just hand-tightened them. I am going to check the rail bolts this week to make sure they are torqued down correctly (15 lbs.) Shout out to Mark at Shay's Billiards for excellent service. Diamond certified is the way to go-

Nice room. Diamonds are a man’s best friend.

I ordered a new Diamond 7-foot Smart coin-op table direct from Diamond for our poolroom 4/5 years ago, at $5,500 delivered and installed, with the small matching Diamond light. First time we recovered it, it was clear from the extra set of staple marks and the visible threads of tournament blue cloth (as opposed to the Simonis green cloth that came on it) that the rails/cushions and quite likely the entire table had been a ‘tournament used’ table that they cleaned up and sold me.

As the table condition and playability seemed fine otherwise, I never contacted Diamond to complain, even though when I was negotiating ordering the table they offered me the option of a tournament used table, guaranteed to be in virtually brand new condition and recovered with new Simonis for 10% off that $5,500 price.

My hunch is this was likely not the only time this happened, but might possibly be a common practice for Diamond when selling 7’ Smart tables. It says a lot about the questionable integrity of the company. Their tables are in such high demand and they are struggling to keep up with production to the extent that possibly they feel they can get away with this practice without it being noticed by virtually all of their buyers. It’s just a matter of time until a competitor figures out how to do it better.
Did you ever consider the possibility that you bought a new Diamond, that already had the rails covered in blue, like most tables they sell, but you wanted green instead, so the at the factory, on that New table, replaced the rail cloth with green to fulfill your order??? That DOES happen, I guarantee 100% it happens!!!!

I swear to God, most of you posters are like gold fish! If for the last 30 seconds you've been happy, you think you've always been happy, BUT if for the last 30 seconds you've been unhappy, you think you've always been unhappy!!

You guys come up with more conspiracy theories than there is in politics!!!!

And NONE of them are fact based, just imagine born so you have SOMETHING to contribute on AZB!!!!

His website says "facilities in Ontario, Can.(main location i guess), Fla,Colo, Mich, Ind, N.Jersey". I'm guessing the Ind. location is Diamond themselves. Are the others just local/regional Diamond dealers that he partners with? I kinda agree on buying a table made in Indiana from a dealer in Canada. I personally would not go that route.

It seems like any time Heath's name or business is brought up, you like to remind everyone he's not in the USA. Is he really taking THAT much business away from you?

For the sake of the thread, I'll relay my experience again. I called Diamond directly and they referred me to an authorized dealer in Florida. When I called, they knew so little about the tables that I said "thanks, but no thanks". They did give me a quote though. Then another person recommended I call Heath. The price was cheaper, the wait was shorter, and the service was outstanding. He kept in touch with updates, and called TWICE after install to make sure everything was good. I don't care if someone is part of Al Qaeda, if the service and price are better, they will have my business.

I've owned four Diamond tables in the last 10 years, three 9' and one 7'. I'll buy used from now on.

Well, I guess you've been fooled! Just goes to show the AZB sloths don't know what they're talking about😅

Take that taking business away from "you" and look at it this way!!! Someone else sells a table in MY area, then calls me to set it up, but don't want to pay me MY rates to do so, because that would mean THAT seller would have to kick in some of THEIR profits on that sale to help pay my delivery and set up fee, YET THEY NEVER touch the table!!! I refuse to subsides the seller by getting paid LESS on MY end of the job!!!! So now what do you think????

You have NO idea how many times I've been asked by out of my area SELLERS if I'd do the delivery and set up for less because my price could be a deal breaker for their sales, YET if the buyer bought the table through me, the overall cost would have been LESSSSSSSS!!!!

I think if you're not being paid what you want, you shouldn't do it. Why is that hard? If he has trouble finding table mechanics, he should pay more. What am I missing?

I am on TEAM DIAMOND, I am always busy and I do well, its not about the money. OTHER DEALERS HAVE SAID THIS TO ME TOO. We all spend time and money building our business's. Dealing with a DROP SHIPPER is fine until its not, then the customer suffers and DIamond has to fix THEIR problems. Diamond Mechanics from the Factory are BUSY ALL THE TIME, they dont need this crap and at the end of the day: IT AFFECTS EVERY CUSTOMERS WAIT TIMES. Does that make sense now?

SAY NO!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus.

SAY NO!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus.
What you FAIL to understand is that NOT everyone that works on pool tables are QUALIFIED to work on a Diamond!!!! Which leaves almost NO ONE in MY area to deliver and set up the tables, because they don't all come on a CART and flip down to install, some ACTUALLY have to be assembled!!! And guess who gets the damn calls to go behind other installers who delivered and set up those tables when it turns out they weren't set up RIGHT in the first place? And have to pay AGAIN to get the table done right!!!!

You do what you gotta do buddy. I got the table cheaper and faster, and I didn't have to deal with any a-holes. Win-win-win.
