Ornate Antique Billiard Cue

Recently acquired this old ornate antique billiard cue. 57” long, 1.450 at the mop wedge, 16.30mm at the tip end (not a typo it’s huge) and laser straight. Probably straight all this time because if the size. No signs of there ever being a ferrule on it. Beyond cool and a incredible amount of work went into this cue. Hopefully the link works. Gone!

Very strange cue. The veneers remind me of the Asian made vignaux. But not having a ferrule goes against that. What’s the joint collar is it plastic or ivory?

How about sharing some specs on your cue. What wood, weight size at the top so forth. Love to hear about the evolution of cues to where we are today. Nice cue & thread!!!
