Why would I lower the bar, why not make it more rewarding to EARN a higher Fargo rate through performance?Or maybe a little lower. I don't see why you couldn't include a few of the top shortstops and semi-pros. 730 maybe?

No I would never assume anything like that. Read my next post and you'll understand. You're assuming the only viewers are Americans!
I was editing my previous post while you were typing yours, so I'll restate it... You probably mentioned this before, but we need a one world rating system. There's no reason to have all these different rating systems. Fargo rate would fit the bill. I think it does exactly what you needed to do.Why would I lower the bar, why not make it more rewarding to EARN a higher Fargo rate through performance?
See, a little lower, again, Americans are not the only ones who play this sport. Why not keep the field of Pro's worldwide to the top 250 Fargo rated players on the planet?Or maybe a little lower. I don't see why you couldn't include a few of the top shortstops and semi-pros. 730 maybe?
And I think you probably mention this before, but I think what needs to be done is there has to be a single rating system. One system for the entire world. I think Fargo rate could do that.
We're talking about a planet with 8 billion people. I don't see why you couldn't include 500 in a pro category.See, a little lower, again, Americans are not the only ones who play this sport. Why not keep the field of Pro's worldwide to the top 250 Fargo rated players on the planet?
You think 500 players can't get a Fargo rate of 775 or higher? We're talking about a planet with 8 billion people. I don't see why you couldn't include 500 in a pro category.
You don't think players would improve their Fargo rating if there was a reason to do so? A lot of players sandbag their Fargo ratings so they can play in events they would be ineligible to play in because their Fargo rate is to high as it is now. So, why not work on raising their Fargo rate, because guess what, that can't be sandbagged!I just checked the top 100 in the world on the Fargo rate app.... the four-way tie for 97th is already below your threshold. What would the 250th player rating be?
Boy! Your ass must be huge! You certainly keep pulling a lot of stuff out of it!You don't think players would improve their Fargo rating if there was a reason to do so? This sport has had over 100 years to create a Pro division, yet its still come one, come all, pay you're dead money entry fees, to support this sport! Where has THAT business model gotten this sport?Boy! Your ass must be huge! You certainly keep pulling a lot of stuff out of it!![]()
Tougher to get a higher fargo when A-holes try to not let you play. Why would I lower the bar, why not make it more rewarding to EARN a higher Fargo rate through performance?
Yes. I think that. You think 500 players can't get a Fargo rate of 775 or higher?
All in due time, universal rules require organization and leadership, of which this sport has never had. When money is available, like you once said, if you want to get on the train, pick a side, either ON it, or UNDER it, won't make any difference to me.All the kool aide drinkers are out in full force
can’t get the rules for 8 ball or a break for 9B established and we are seriously discussing a world ranking system that will work everywhere? Lol
good luck

There must be a separation between what it means to be a Pro, and a semi-Pro. Once that line has been established then you know where everyone else stands, and who belongs and who don't. There's a lot of unknown players around the world, and the reason they're unknown is because there is NO reason to come forward, and dedicate their skills to be the best they can be, if there's no financial gain. Effort must equal reward, but effort must also mean something, in order to build a separation between those willing to be the best they can be, yet fall short of their goals, yet reward those that exceed all expectations, and make the cut off to the Pro's. The minimum cut off of 775 or higher can be adjusted if necessary, but it can NOT be ignored, in favor of those who feel that because they can pay an entry fee to a Pro event, they feel they have the RIGHT to belong, because of money, NOT skills!Yes. I think that.
500 players at 775 or higher is super aspirational. Especially with Players like Billy Thorpe coming in under that number. Will Billy eventually get over 774, yes... but then you are still asking for another 400+ players to do so, when currently there are less then 100.
In order for them to do that, a lot of the time, especially in the 725+ range, you are going to get these guys playing each other, so while some may have the chance of their number going up, others will have a chance of it going down, further from the magic 775.
I understand you think there is sandbagging going on, and I'm not saying their isn't, sure those players will definitely jump up in Fargo provided they deem the prize worthy of it, but even if that's another 100 players, that's a lot. Those guys are still going to be high rated like high 600s low 700s.
500 players over 775 is a bit ambitious. I think your your threshold should be lowered.
Hell, Thorpe and Roberts are now a point lower then they were this morning.![]()
Here, just for you buddy!! Do you understand the meaning of the last sentence?I’ll watch it pass by……I have time![]()

The man behind this profound quote is none other than the genius German scientist Albert Einstein. He emphasised the importance of sticking to what you want to do, even when others think it's 'unrealistic'.
