That was lot of sort-of related words...you experience is not the type that led to Hydrochlorothiazide appearing on the banned list.I'm not sure where you read that it is used to help fight detection of pot or any other type of drug, but there has to be millions of people that take Hydro every day including Truck Drivers or even Dr's as it is used for a very common reason, and that is to help fight high blood pressure! But I am no Dr, but I do take it daily to fight high blood pressure along with another water pill! And because of the state I live in I also have to take a monthly piss test due to other controlled meds I take, and if there was a reason to suspect that I took the above so I could pass it would be brought to my attention and not given the meds I get, so I can't go along with your argument on the issue of using the hydro to pass a piss test. Now like others I have no dog in this fight, but something else had to come up or the whole system is fubared!
Lol! You mean “WPA.” The WPBA is the Women’s Professional Billiard Association.
2021 and suspended for pot?
WADA is out of control and power drunkWPA uses the WADA World Anti Doping Agency rules which are very very extensive.
Many medications, supplements and of course all recreational drugs are forbidden.

So in other words their shouldn’t be rules if you don’t like them? The whole argument that “it’s their rules, oh well” doesn’t really hold weight these days.
If you’re gonna have stupid rules then expect there to be backlash.
We no longer leave in a society where people just accept stupid rules just because.
The problem is that there’s no real organization behind pool.
IE the NFL and NBA and really all pro sports have a players association that helps keep the leagues in check.
It’s why they no longer test for marijuana in the NFL or NBA.
It all becomes a business as you well know .WADA is out of control and power drunk
Yes there needs to be oversight, not like this tho. They abuse the power they have

I have no issue with rules but Earl makes all the right points.
Obviously they have the freedom to make any dumb rule they want but that doesn’t make it right.
What if they made a rule that participants can’t eat fried food or have to take an alcohol test every night at midnight. They can do whatever they want, right?
Or they can make practical decisions that better fit the benefit of everyone and the pool industry/community. Because at the end of the day billiards as a whole needs to figure out how to be more relevant and palatable to the masses.
No one is happy about the earl situation. It accomplished nothing and served/benefited no one. Precisely the kind of thing that needs to be changed.
The "disorders" you refer to above from smoking marijuana may inpact a fraction of 1% of the people who use it, a very small fraction at that! Now compare it with alcohol and the disorders associated with its use. There is no comparison! One is very dangerous when used improperly and the other is rather timid by comparison. And you don't need to be a doctor to understand that. Just being a fully conscious human being will suffice. On this topic I disagree with Earl. From the CDC:
Mental Health | Health Effects | Marijuana | CDC
CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S.www.cdc.gov
People who use marijuana are more likely to develop temporary psychosis (not knowing what is real, hallucinations, and paranoia) and long-lasting mental disorders, including schizophrenia (a type of mental illness where people might see or hear things that are not really there).2 The association between marijuana and schizophrenia is stronger in people who start using marijuana at an earlier age and use marijuana more frequently.
Marijuana use has also been linked to depression; social anxiety; and thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts, and suicide.
