After a little practice session today I threw my balls into a Diamond ball polisher. This is how they came out, dirtier than they went in. What needs to be done to the Diamond polisher to fix this problem?

New sprocket and carpet pads?

I honestly do not get automation when rag, old tshirt, or microfiber cloth & ball polish work well.

If your wealthy get top
Of line machine, if not old school works.

Use a lightly damped cloth. It takes seconds to clean the balls and minutes for them to dry.

Are you saying those visible marks were not on the 9 ball when you placed it in the polisher? Did you have similar marks on some of the other balls as well?

The balls had some chalk marks. When they came out almost half of them had black marks, not as bad as the 9. The black marks came off with a damp rag but what’s the point of having a cleaning machine if they come out worse than they go in.

Sad to say but all you need to do is rub those black marks with a little spit before throwing them in the polisher.

Lou Figueroa

Gotta be something dirty contaminating the polisher?

Carpet comes out an can be washed. Probably worth pulling and fixing it a visual inspection, at least.

The balls did not have the black spots before going into the machine:
