Shaw 714 video?

Why hasn't Legends of Pool posted it yet? Guessing they are going to try to sell it to make a buck, like another high run a couple years ago.

How about post it for free, and charge advertisers to plaster their logos on it? Such a shame. So greedy. They could still make some money off of it, without charging viewers. and they would get a TON of viewers. I think the "charging for the video" route will make them less money in the long run.

Look what happened to Schmidt. He sat on his footage for so long, except for the traveling live viewing shows, that now it is obsolete, and no one wants to watch it.

Someone, such as Filler, is going to come along and beat 714, and the process will repeat.

Hopefully, Legends will prove me wrong, as they posted in the morning that the run would be posted "later today." Well, that time stamp has passed by.

Calm down man! The run happenend just yesterday. The run needs to be reviewed and proven to be legit. THEN it makes sense to share the video.
I'm simply going off what Legends posted.

And what do you mean "proven to be legit?" lol. THEY are the ones that recorded it. on their equipment. In front of their faces. While they were watching it live. With their eyeballs. They know it's legit. It's not coming from a third party.

And if you are talking about ball and rack count, they can do that still with it posted.

Picture this:

I record my girlfriend and myself on vacation at the grand canyon. We make a selfie video. I juggle 4 tennis balls in the video, my personal best. My girlfriend says "That was awesome! Post that so people can watch!"

I reply "No, I have to review it and prove it's legit first."

😅

Your comment makes zero sense. seriously. take a breath and think about it.

This is strictly about money. I just heard in fact that Shaw said in an interview yesterday that he has a marketing team that is in touch with a media company already.

It's not about Legends proving it to be legit. They recorded it, yes. Of course they would know that it's legit. But at this time, about five other reputable people got to watch it and confirm that it's legit. It was the same procedure with the John Schmidt run, although that run never saw the light of day.

I really hope that they will post the run online, but I don't care if it's today or in a few days.

i fully expect a botched monetization attempt in accordance with the tradition. maybe not a travelling vaudeville show a'la schmidt but surely something that reaps less revenue than a youtube video with ads would bring in.

It makes sense. Maybe they want to make sure he didn't move another ball unintentionally before they post it up and get ABSOLUTELY FLAMED for it.

I think it was all planned beforehand. They cut stream when someone get close to record. Stream was just drug seller tactics. Too bad. . People thought they could see whole run live full but never had chance. I hope i am wrong..

We shall see how this all plays out. Lou is purposely giving evading answers. I’d expect better from you, being a part of this community on AZB for 20 years.

There are like 4+ threads asking for the video. I seem to remember similar with John's run...

It's like history is repeating itself...

What have I been evasive on?

Lou Figueroa
Not stating what’s going on with the video. Not stating if it will be free to view. Not stating if the timeline for release is a few hrs, few days, or Schmidt never.

You had a few posts about it thus far scattered in a couple threads. They all seem to imply the video will be behind a paywall.

So do you want to clear it up?

If it's behind a paywall, it will be posted online for free an hour later

I have stated, at least a couple of times, that I do not know what will be happening with the video and that Bobby was bone tired last night and in a celebratory mood, as was Jayson, and was not responding to my requests for info and that I was optimistic that I'd be talking with him today to gather more info.

If I don't know, I don't know. That's not being evasive, to the contrary it's called being honest.
