Why is Eagle Eye Mr. 714 now?

Well Lou they call you names because of jealously.

Can’t attract your ideas, so they attach you personally.

Yes, after over 25 years on the pool inter-web I know that it's all par for the course and that it really says more about the sophistication of the guy posting stuff like that than me personally.

if records want to be recognized by all they need to be broken on the current type of conditions that are presently played.
that is how all sport records are viewed.

right now its diamonds or gold crowns with 4.5 inch pockets with standard shelf. nothing modified for the record try.

do it right.

If someone gets called a douche, more than likely the name-caller is not jealous of them. Can you please describe why people would be jealous of him?
 🤣

I tried....I got nuthin'! Other than a "douche" does get near a pussy once in a while?

Golf,Baseball,Football just to name a few are played under different conditions all the time and records are recognized.
But pool is a little different,I get your point.
I play in a room that has Gold Crowns and Diamonds.
The Gold Crowns are slop buckets compared to the Diamonds.
The Gold Crowns are way too easy,I like the Diamonds better.

measureman, the records are made in the current playing conditions and equipment in use. not on special conditions or equipment changed especially to break a record.

Who had special conditions or equipment changed to break a record?

Conditions should replicate what the size of pockets for Mosconi's record / John S. record and
as far as I am concerned it was. I also think it should stay that way. I also don't think it will be
a walk in the park for anyone to break Jayson's record and certainly not on a 4 1/2 pocket.

Well damn. The case is closed. I was hoping for endless pages discussing the same thing.

Speaking of that, has anyone checked in on Harriman? Hopefully he’s bearing down to give it a go when the room is ready and the show starts up again. I’d like to see that.

I hope they get that search function added soon so we all don't need our own personal update thread to rehash everything.

What I like about that 714 number is this.
High run in snooker (147) has all those numbers.
A coincidence?
What was the ball number that was going to be 715?
