2022 World Snooker Championship (Apr 16th - May 2nd)

I grew up speaking German and French. Although my mom is English, I can’t understand half of what OSullivan,Higgins and Williams are saying most of the time. Fortunately McManus is more articulate and I get 100%. The easiest to understand is Sean Murphy as he grew up with a posh background.

i suppose you understand robidoux and salvas then. i love languages, but i think maybe i passed the age limit for learning french.

true, higgins accent is tougher than macmanus but the welsh are just melodic. very beautiful accent, unlike their actual language cymric

Scott Donaldson is dabbing them real good. Mark Allen is just watching. This could be a big upset. Super early to say for sure. But if Donaldson keeps up his current form-he wins.
Scott fell apart soon as Allen started putting some heat on him. He was playing great until the heat came along and he was done. Got weak.

He Cues the ball very good, just doesn’t have the mental strength.

I know he was a huge dog going into this match.

So nice to have proper snooker on TV, missed that.

Interestingly, despite his accent I don't think he did, this (free to listen) podcast was quite eye opening.

O'Sullivan is up 6-3 after being down 0-3. The second session of their match is tomorrow.

I don't see any Day 1 replays available on DAZN right now. I wonder if they will be up later.
Isn’t DAZN always like this, with no replays for this tournament? The only way I’ve watched previous matches is to go to the live match and drag the slider back a couple hours.

In comparison, DAZN had replays of the World Pool Championship up for one week.

Never a doubt. He’s amazing. Good guy too.
Yes, he is a good laugh.
I met all the professionals years ago when I used to be more involved in associations and tournaments.

They are also light years ahead of the local good players in attitude and class as well, you know the type, the big fish in a small pond guy who is the best in that city but cannot cut the mustard at World level.
Yet they show little respect to other players and think an event should cater for them first and foremost.

These guys are mostly more humble, show respect to each other and want to promote the game at grass roots level.

Most player's have performed as expected, good tournament so far.
Not long now before we see if Judd Trump has some form and is a contender this year.
He has not had the best of seasons, but he wants a 2nd title badly.
Same with Neil Robertson, winning it once is great... But, you don't get put into the all time greats list without multiple World titles.

Not a dull match so far, and we still have the Kyren Wilson vs Ding Junhui to come.
Loving it!

This is a condensed review of the O'Sullivan-Selby semifinal from 2020 World Championship. It was one of the most memorable matches I've seen. The other semifinal happened to be another.

Watched that a number of times still enjoyed it.
Kyren was in waaay over his head in the final and his body language screamed it.

I don't think I've enjoyed a match more than this one.
The final frame safety battle was awe inspiring.

Ronnie found the Mark Selby code in this match, I remember Mark trying to say that Ronnie was showing disrespect... when in fact, Ronnie refused to get bogged down by Mark and his grinding style.

I doubt they will meet this time, as I don't think Mark Selby will progress that far this year.

I haven’t met any of the top snooker players. I’ve followed snooker forever, I really enjoy watching it. Good times!

Selby appears to have a lot on his mind-he needs to unpack the luggage and take a bit of time off.

Higgins making mistakes, but Un-Nooh failing to capitalize.

Edit: Didn't realize I wasn't watching Live and just saw him make that tough brown down the rail.

Drago is the only snooker player I know. Fun guy to knock back a couple pints with. Good times 🍻
