Fedor is an elbow dropper

He drops the elbow often.
But but but....it's after contact. 
I've always preferred the natural elbow drop over the more rigid locked elbow. The instructors can debate its necessity, but I just look at the natural flowing nature of the stroke. The locked elbow players just seem so much more abrupt and jerky. What's interesting is how much more of a dropper SVB was before going to the longer cue. In his early days, his stroke looked more like Fedor's, who is picture perfect to me. Now he snatches the cue more on his power shots and doesn't drop the elbow like he used to.

Fedor has worked under Johan Ruysink supervision a lot in the past. And this brilliant Dutchman is a proponent of such a stroke I recall. In order to achieve a full-length follow-through for a proper draw shot (which would be also smooth), you simply can not do without the elbow drop.
Of course just another moving joint added to the stroke is not going to provide any benefits to a player if his stroking motion has any, even little, flaw. Great fundamentals is a must, and everyone who has worked with Mr Ruysink knows that.

I drew Fedor in a tournament last year and I’ve been able to watch him up close a few other times too. His stroke is interesting. In addition to the elbow drop, he aims very close to center ball on draw shots. His tip actually dips down lower on his final swing to get the draw, then his elbow drops naturally after contact. So on draw shots, his elbow actually rises slightly higher than his set position on the final stroke, then drops naturally after contact.
Only if you're semi literate like me.
Actually was it the Rogan Interview? Maybe not but within the last couple weeks, it occurred to me if you stroke a horizontally fixed dowel pool fashion, you end up with Fedor's stroke. The notion stuck because I've been trying to envision a proper stroke trainer along the lines of those fitness machines.
He has a great stroke. What separates them from worthless heaps of crap like myself, is that they can repeat the same motion over and over perfectly. Regardless of how they deliver it. Can you repeat it and control what you are doing. I'm half blind, messed up back, nerve issues, basically a drain on society. Nothing can fix my game at this point. I'm going to go play in traffic now.
