FWIW, Pat Fleming is adamant no dump occurred.

Yes, but when the contract was up for renewal, neither the Mirage nor others in Vegas had any interest at all. Just like the WPBA was a loss leader for the casinos and they ended their relationship and that was a bunch of different properties.
Just the the Seminole Indians/Hard Rock ended their sponsorship of tournaments.
