Is it possible to make a current topic devoted to photos of Gus Szamboti's cues. Alot of the old photos are gone and of the approx. 1,200 cues Gus made, how many are still in existence? If you have any photos of Gus' work please post them. It would be great to have them all in one thread. Here is one I purchased:

I think of the 1200 he made only 2000 are left in existence.

I see a lot of cues from all different makers that have dots at the end of the points.
Is this just a design feature or is it used to cover bad points or a combination of both?

I have no idea but there is a discussion about it in Logdog's Szamboti thread. It starts at the top of page 6 post #101. Perhaps a cue maker can chime in and settle the debate.
