Just seems cheap to do a play on names. Mike Sigel Capt Hook, Nick Varner Cool Hand LukeI've never really thought about it but Corey "Prince of Pool" Deuel does rhyme.
Lest we not forget that the nick name 'iceman' rightfully belongs to Larry Hubbard and NOT Mika Immonen! The same goes for Lou Butera whose nickname is 'machine gun'. There was a period of time when someone else was trying to get away with using it, I think it may have been Luc Salvas, not sure. How about AZB poster and BCA Hall of Famer Ray "Cool Cat" Martin? Justice NJ had him too.
...or any of these
Mika "Iceman" Immonen
Freddie "The Beard" Bentivegna
Jack "Jersey Red" Breit
Jim "King James" Rempe
Shane "South Dakota Kid" Van Boening
Niels "The Terminator" Feijen
Karen "The Irish Invader" Corr
Danny "Kid Delicious" Basavich
Rudolph "Minnesota Fats" Wanderone
Leonard "Bugs" Rucker
Glenn "Piggy Banks" Rogers
Good point, but lest we forget that Larry's name was Hubbart, not Hubbard.Lest we not forget that the nick name 'iceman' rightfully belongs to Larry Hubbard and NOT Mika Immonen!
