Anyone else watching Fedor vs the God on his channel? He is playing on 4” corners and 4.25 sides. He is looking really good right now winning 7-3

Tuned in just after you posted this. Looks like he's losing 10-7 against the "God". Looks like he lost 7 straight in almost no time at all.

It was crazy… I think he made a ball on the break the first 10 racks. Then almost like he lost that break shot.

Feels like college and its a surprise review. This is called growing the sport. Click like and sub.

Does anyone know about the marked tape between the pockets on his table?? Never seen that on a table before..

I believe those are Kamui Diamond slicers. Just gives precise measurements for kicking banking and moving around the rails

What's your thoughts on em? I find them far less useful than they suggest by their appearance!

A little longer, a little shorter, 1/4 or 1/3 or 1/2 shorter or longer seems to be accurate enough.

The game isn't played on paper.
I've never seen them in person. If I had my own table, I'd buy them just to try something different.

My thoughts are that they are helpful if you need reassurance, but realistically, feel and knowledge of how the table plays is all that anyone needs.

They are like a helping hand/placebo for players who might need habits/routine to fill gaps in their confidence.

I found them not particularly useful the couple times I have played on tables that had them.

Watching Fedor, it appears that he's very calculating when he's banking and kicking. I wouldn't be surprised to find out he using a Dr. Dave type system for one or both. It didn't take him long to bank as good as anyone either.

The more I try to use hacks/methods the more I miss the ball. I find that 'feel', and finding the aiming point using the outside edge of the rail to suffice for any and all 1-rail banks/kicks. I think it's easy to over-complicate things (although sometimes people need to treat it like science to feel more confident/comfortable). It's quite telling that not even pros can be definitive about it.

I agree for the most part but having just a couple pet systems to calibrate your feel of the rails may be helpful, maybe even more so for a pro like Fedor who finds himself playing on more uniform conditions as professional pool continues to expand.

I think that is the main factor to next level kicking, consistent tables. I can do some pretty nutty stuff on my table that probably is really bad for my outside game.

Of course the main biggest thing (!) Fedor is doing here is trying to make a ball...coz he loses if he doesn't!!

We call it "pro-ghost" in the challenge threads.

I generally play a hybrid version that allows BIH only if I'm snookered after break
Fedor plays where he also has to make a ball on the break / a dry break is a loss. When I play the pro ghost I don’t count a dry break as a loss. He also racks the 9 on the spot.

I would never come close to beating it where I had to make a ball unless I guess I had a template rack, 1 on the spot and a soft break. But even then.
