Seriously! HTF did that seem like the right shot? Stretched out, jacked up, for a combo that did not even guarantee winning the rack.
The safety that followed was just as bad.
That match was a long list of horrible safeties and poorly hit balls.
If ever a loss was deserved, it was that one. Albin played way below par and gave Shane opportunity after opportunity and Shane
couldn't run 4 balls when it mattered.
It honestly looked like Shane placed a bet on Albin, and had to pull a Buddy Hall to make it pay out.
 
Super strong last 16. 14 out of 16 are 800+. 6 matches are 800+v800+ matchups.
Is FSR back? His 10-0 win over Ralf is only whitewash of single elimination stage
Ahmad Taufiq with unconfirmed FR663 (robustness 101) must be lowest FR in last 16 of any major.
Little Ko is on track for rematch with Yapp in quarterfinals.

how about them ko brothers, they're like a constant in L16. yapp and fedor too deserves a mention for consistency.

brunei (?) player taufiq surely the biggest surprise in there. i think the crown prince of brunei used to play in the old MR world championships in the noughties, and his name in the graphics was prince this or that

yea, that was weird. fool me once, etc. specially considering rasson is his sponsor and home table. but the biggest mistake was the BiH stretched out combo

KPC vs Lechner is becoming a juicy rivalry. Max won double hill at the 2022 US Open 9-ball, and in 2023, KPC avenged that loss in the quarterfinal of the 2023 US Open 9-ball in a match that was 6-6 before KPC ran the last four racks. As was the case two weeks ago in Atlantic City, KPC needs to beat Lechner to probably earn a shot at Yapp.

Since Matchroom switched to proprietary bracket service (over any other decent one) it is impossible to track down scores from past events. I suddenly realised it during this season when decided to check some head-to-heads. Unfortunately they don't understand that it is a part of pool legacy, and the results are important. I sent an email on this matter to their press officer but received no reaction.
@azhousepro , Mike could you send a request to Matchroom Pool and explain the importance of archiving the brackets of past events and having them online?
