Signed up for what, the 9b event?

I don't know bao, but there are no billiards players that can compete at pocket billiards at the top level.

neither can stuart bingham or judd trump, but they can crossover fans / viewers. from my impression though, it's probably not needed. i suspect weekend will be crowded

The Viet cuesports fans are passionate...and I believe the Vietnamese were found to be the 'most optimistic' people in the world...so it isn't just cuesports.

Sounds like they live with gusto...just like I do!?

Maybe I am vietnamese? Who knows!?

Seventeen of the Last 64 are from the Philippines; 6 from the host country. Six from the USA made it, having lost Thorpe, Ussery, and Dabreo in the losers' qualification round.

the first group of 8 is murderous. so is the group with ko/lechner/mario/dennis. svb and sky got fairly soft ones in comparison

Just checked DAZN, which is streaming the final two days, but there's something screwy about the listed times.

Yes, that is weird. Day 4 is today. Saturday is Day 5, Sunday is Day 6. As of yesterday they had 2 pm and 7 pm for both Saturday and Sunday. The times they generally show are for the location of the person signing in, not the local times of the event. 2 pm and 7 pm for me would be after the event has ended. The 12 am time they show at the far left does seem like a possibly accurate time for me for the first session of the day (11 am in Hanoi).
