Rhino CF shafts....159bux, free ship

I've had a revo 12.4 and 12.9. I started shooting with the Rhino and my first impressions was it was exactly like playing with my 12.4 revo. I do not own it anymore so cannot do a side by side like some other folks or here probably have done. However, the minimal difference in deflection is not going to turn you from a C player into an A player or vice versa. If someone is looking into taking the CF plunge, you would be making a great choice with the Rhino. or even a backup for your Predator if you already have one.

i dont care about deflection ... i can adjust to just about anything
i could adjust to no A/C in the summer too but why? i've got a couple classic old-school cues that i hardly use anymore. i don't play enough to be constantly 'on' as to adjusting for their hi-deflection. My Mezz with either the Mezz or the new Rhino shafts are just easier to play with.

I have played with Funchamp many times and can say he is strong player. I played against him with both the Revo shafts as well.

His comments on the Rhino shaft by comparison carry weight with me due to his experience playing with both Revo shafts.

I look forward to the new year and see what new tweaks Rhino makes with their shafts and cues.

Happy New Year!

I'd like one for my schuler too....so that makes two of us, though I want a carom shaft...so that makes one of us.

So confused!
They didn’t turn down the pilot enough. The joint diameter looks perfect. I’ll need to buzz down the pilot by 0.5mm.

Anyone know why they dont build a standard shaft at 29 inches long?
A WAG here but its possible their tube supplier only makes the raw tubes at that length. Add in the ferrule/vaultplate and tip to get to 30. Just a guess.

Rhino break shaft I ordered just arrived. 3/8 10. Just broke 10 racks or so and my first impressions are good. I've no carbon fiber experience before this one at all, but it feels great, came clean (with no black dust others have reported). To my eye as of right now, I shall concur this this is a helluva deal compared to other price points out there. Will report back after I've played with it for a while. I just left my job of the last three years for the last time an hour and a half ago, so I'm gonna go grab some pizza and maybe a 🍺...then more pool dammit
Is the Rhino CF break a long pro taper like the Rhino CF player? Is the tip phenolic or more like a hard leather one like a Samsara break tip? The tip looks layered on Rhino's website.

Don't know about their playing cue taper, but the break cue has what I consider a long taper. I like it. As for the tip....the one that came installed on it is mushrooming. I'm going to replace it. It came with a komet tip which I've not unpacked.all told, very good value here, but plan on replacing the tip if you get the break shaft. After using this shaft, I'd be hard to convince to pay more for the big name brands.

ok, break tip is not worth it's weight. yes, I agree these shafts play very well as I've ordered one 12.5mm player.

Never say never.

I was on Facebook earlier this morning and saw an ad for the Rhino shafts again for 169.15. Since my wife is notorious for dinging up her Cuetec R360 shaft by hitting lights fixtures, banging into the table, dropping, etc., I decided to go ahead and order her one (uniloc 12.5mm) so i would have less shaft maintenance to do here at home (besides the fact that I'm curious as to how they play).

I have an older Lucasi butt with some ebony in it, along with a black textured leather grip and some black (abalone/mother-of-pearl?) in the points. The shaft will probably look aesthetically pleasing paired with this butt, so, what the heck. Right???

I did have to pay $15 for shipping which wasn't at all a deal-breaker.
