There’s likely Dutch & Asian sites too, but not always a translation key.

The part that is humorous is that very few of the several hundred on the so called list will ever get a cue.Yeah, really funny stuff. People getting screwed trying to buy a cue. hahahahahahahahaahahahahaahahahahahah
Sugar daddies are the few. LolThe part that is humorous is that very few of the several hundred on the so called list will ever get a cue.
No politicsOkay, well there must be something “left” in the translation.
Engineer I believe…. No idea how he spends his (full) time.Does Dennis have a regular job of some sort? I'm just wondering what he's doing with all his time to always be so far behind?
Sorry... coming up weak. If someone had your money you'd be at their door or court. Make good now. Return deposits. Return cues that have been sitting waiting for repairs. If you can't do things right don't do them. Be responsible. Be a manPlease don't respond to me here. I won't be back to look, and frankly embarrassed.
Wonderful and excellent response.Hello,
Since this is public, I would publicly like to apologize to anyone who is or has waited for me to finish their work. I'd also like to apologize to you for any lack of communication from me. For me it all gets a bit overwhelming sometimes, and hard specially when I don't feel I have exact answers. I've have had several big setbacks that have effected me due to health, and the passing of family and close friends where I had to be involved to help the family. Considering the amount of time for a few of you it's still not an excuse.
To clarify, I do this full time and it's rare I take even a full day off from working in the shop, my wife would unhappily verify this. It's never been due to not working. The problem is for some reason I've been unable to say no to fixing or maintaining local customers cues specially when so many of them have been a customer from day one and well over 30 years. Might mix in a little OCD too.
This isn't how I want anyone or me to feel, and it makes me really sad. Clearly it's time to get my work day under control. I'm very passionate and love building cues and I genuinely love the good people who are into all nice cues as well as the game itself. Many passionate people have been there for me like Will and many others over all the years and you aren't forgotten. Just please know I'm both honored and grateful to those who had, have, or want a cue I've made.
God willing I'll make a promise here, over the next 12 months to anyone I either have a cue needing work from, or have anything with me monetarily will be made whole. Welcome to check back on this then. Fortunately of the many customers, it's only a small percentage I've excepted deposits or any payment from.
Please don't respond to me here. I won't be back to look, and frankly embarrassed.
Time has gone by so quickly and other than getting work done for those waiting an apology is all I can give at this moment.
Thanks you,
Dennis
Get your cue back and send to Proficient Billiards... You'll have it finished/returned approximately 2 weeks. Blackballed for being more than patient? No sir ...not for being more than reasonable. Any well know cuemaker would enjoy taking your order .. having your business.Anyone have an issue getting their cue back from Dennis? I sent a cue to him that he received on 5/14/2020 asking for a refinish and another shaft. Was told at that time it would be about a month to take care of. I’ve reached out several times over the years being respectful knowing it takes time to do quality work. I’ve been hesitant to post anything online thinking other cue builders/dealers would “black ball” me. I have text massages to show conversation.
No faith. What gets done in 1 year that did not get done in years. Answer NO. it’ll stay good for short time or rush work takes place to compensate. He should contact everyone whose cues he has and give a time frame or option to return items and deposits. Been through and seen this before. Quality operators get backed up .. do not say no. One day they come to terms they cannot deliver and close or lose the edge.I dont know how to do poll
if any does
lets do it
dennis makes all right in one year
yes/no
The estate is liable for things/monies owed.Is there some point where a cue maker realizes that they're going to die soon and just says eff'it I'm going to take as many cues and deposit money as I can get from people and they can sort it out after I'm dead...
Do you honestly think this would get signed?Searing's is an admirable proposal. This is not to say it is correct or complete. But it is a start. Harmed customers should have their say and be protected. As they say, the devil is in the details. What follows is very quick and dirty and demands scrutiny and revision. AND THE ASSISTANCE OF LEGAL COUNSEL. Unless I am misreading this thread, there is a lot of work and substantial money involved here. Good lawyering is required and may assist in the success of a resolution.
1. Offer and make cash refunds and cue returns to all who want them. The wronged customer should have the power to decide if he wants to extend additional trust/time. It should not be Searing's prerogative. Refund/return policy should continue until outstanding work is satisfied.
2. Since the issue has been raised, any customer desiring "proof of life" of his cue should be furnished with such.
3. Prepare and publish to interested parties a 1) list of all pending jobs and 2) revise it monthly so that progress can be monitored. Waiting 12 months is unreasonable. (This should be on a FIFO basis with an estimated schedule.)
4. Disclose how much time will be used for "new" jobs.
5, Written waiver of the statute of limitations.
6. Written agreement that if litigation results a prevailing party can recover their attorneys fees.
7. Someone should pay for an attorney chosen by customers' designee (Will Prout if he would agree) to review/amend any proposed agreement and reduce the agreement to a binding contract.
We are all human and if someone is good enough to admit culpability, I feel they deserve a chance to dig themselves from the hole they created. This does not mean it should be easy. Good luck to everyone.
