You sure? Doesn’t look like you could turn them to fit between the points to me.Looks a hair bigger than 4.5".
The 14 ball should be placed exactly where the 13 ball is placed on the right side of the pocket - where the middle of the ball is sitting right at the the point where the cushion point is. Taking a measurement with a tape measure from point to point across the pocket gives you your pocket mouth measurement. Then I don't understand how pockets are measured.
That’s what I would call a 4.5” pocket.Is this less than 4-1/2”
I might be just the pic, but it looks like the facings are void of much down angle at all.
Looks like I was right. So, like this.
Yes, it looks like the pockets/subrails could use an overhaul by a good mechanic. These pockets reject anything along the rail at any speed.

Yep - maybe right on 4.5". Here's a comparison of the two balls and the pocket (both "rulers" are identical).Looks a hair bigger than 4.5".
I'd argue that one of your rulers isn't quite point 2 point. Thus the hair bigger. Idk though. Pretty freakin close.Yep - maybe right on 4.5". Here's a comparison of the two balls and the pocket (both "rulers" are identical).

New cloth and pocket facings should do the trick, assuming the PFA is no greater than 142°. Looks like the subrails may have already been extended.Yes, it looks like the pockets/subrails could use an overhaul by a good mechanic.
Judging from the pics the PFA are much of the problem. New cloth and facings over the top of mushroomed subrail miters aren’t going to fix those pockets.New cloth and pocket facings should do the trick, assuming the PFA is no greater than 142°.
