If pool is not a sport is it an art

Pool has sounds, is it music
Is pool creativity
Is pool racism

Matchroom is redefining professional pool for societies to adopt globally.

The existing billiard crew should have inspirational concepts to develop the youth.

What works for kids where you are from? What kind of standards can billiards develop for youth interaction between cultures?

Billiard art events, billiard math events, ... I heard they have academic people here. The Youth (Y)WPA association, which is not officially part of the WPA

Do you have any fun projects for kids to see if billiards is fun or billiard pros are fun to be around?

No. Neither is artistic billiards an 'art'
It's none of what you described above
It's a game, that is played as many games are, competitively, for fun (even when a trophy, money or an ego boost is being contested)
Its only a game if you know the rules

Most kids never get to the table.

If its not even on the radar its nothing.

Pool needs art to get on the radar.

Its needs Virtual Paul Newman, can you program a VPN?

This is almost a good point. Well done numbot.

by 'art' what you mean is needs a 'financed identity' - so yeah, someone with deep pockets is required, what they produce would never be 'art' - maybe look up the definition of the word 'art' (although the word itself is entirely tainted by consumer capitalism)

Not sure what a VPN has to do with anything?

In the town I work, anyone can put on a show, if they show up and promote the event.

I attended art, dance, community outreach, religious, political, civic, parks, engineering, sanitation, traffic management conferences.

Professional conferences have budgets for small group activities. Billiards can be one of those activities, if sold as part of trade show or demo for community spaces. Do you know any billiard trade organizations that have appropriate activities for youth?

Just have a pool team put up a table at the street fair. What is cheap and is to transport and setup for street fairs for billiard equipment?

Usually you buy the table, pay Paul Newman to stand there and then direct traffic to the gambling.

Anytime you can't figure something out 100%, there's gotta be a reason.
Yah think?

Is pool racism. No it’s sexually discriminating. It’s all about having balls.
Sport or Art? It’s a frustrating horrible evil game designed to piss average players off.

Who controls billiards more the men or women?

Billiards is no longer owned by the US, it is democratically controlled by the WPA and commercially owned by Matchroom/Predator.

Its new world and wars are complex and asymmetric.

Is there a pro more recognized today than Allison Fisher in both snooker and pool worlds?

Allison Fisher the movie, who should play her? Which guys should be left out or not mentioned?

Does Allison play 3 cushion?

Little League Pool would be a good idea. Worked for baseball. Teams composed of both boys "and" girls. Just need pool "stadia".

Billiards owns us...got us by the balls

Al Pacino or Robert D'Niro should play Allison. I should be left out. My acting days are over
Does Allison play 3 cushion?
Does Charlie surf?

Can they make the shot in one take?

Allison does complicated things and her hands have a specific look. You can't just replace her hands.

Agree with the thread's premise. Pool is, indeed, an art and those that come to love it are usually those that come to appreciate it most as an art. Pool requires insight, creativity and even inspiration. Life over the glorious green felt poses previously unsolved problems that fascinate us for a lifetime.

What I have learned so far about yet another groundbreaking and brilliant thread.
Cool, so if auto racing is not a sport that makes me an artist.
Somebody used to "own" billiards, I wonder who owns basketball, football, soccer, and baseball?
I must be racist for partaking in billiards.
Good stuff!!!
