My first attempt at threading. I’m going to see how a .375 threaded tenon works with a tomahawk ferrule. I forgot to chamfer the tenon before threading, so when I attempted chamfering after threading, it chipped the threads out. Learning as I go.

If you have a live threader, my flat bottom carbide threader works great for 10 to 18 tpi.

Bsi.finish cure epoxy.
This is from my own tube.
Not from warther or Atlas .
I sold lots of them before here.
But, I'm sold out now
 
I'm always curious when i see something like this because i still consider CF to be fairly new in the grand scheme of things.
Did you make your own CF shaft? or convert one to match the cue?
 
I’ve been turning this maple down and it started showing a dark line along the growth ring. Is there something I can do to make it go away?

It’s on the handle so I’m starting to think this cue will end up with a wrap. Thanks for any help!

I don’t have the experience of most here, but I would assume there is no way to remove something deep in the wood like that.

Pristine is always nice, but sometimes “flaws” can give it character. It isn’t a blotch or unnatural looking mark. It follows the lines of the wood.

If it really bothers you wrap it or you can finish it and see what people think. If it is a big problem cut the groove later and wrap it then.
