Yea that was a dick move for sure, but from his angle it probably did look like a foul.... hard to say for sure but wasn't there a ref right behind Souto to make the call?
Souto blew a 95% runout to beat Ignacio. At double hill, he had perfect shape on the four and had less than a foot of shape to the five. When he went wrong, he had to swerve in the five and had no chance to make shape, so he was stuck with bank the seven. Yes, he missed it, but it was the shot on the four that he'll have nightmares about.

it wasn't pretty. i like ignacio, but that was a move for sure. now souto isn't known for keeping still in his chair either so.. there were a couple of things going on
I'm still trying to figure out what angle he was hoping for on the 5, and if he didn't partially hook himself what his plan was to get on the 7. The extremely lesser arm chair player in me just thought he roll near the bottom rail and roll through the 5 for the 7 in the opposite corner

Ok now is the time to go back to my post years ago when I said smaller pockets will add randomness and arbitrary outcomes to matches. These equipments will favor the weaker player and people didn’t believe me. In fact people laughed at me.
I’m sure people will catch on to my thinking purely from results. I hope it will be time where you see what I discovered years ago maybe some will never get it.
In pool the problem is randomness and by making pockets smaller you literally added more wider margin of luck and randomness. I’ll wait until people get it; maybe they won’t
But at least you’re seeing the results but then again some people will keep finding other excuses which as “can’t handle pressure” okay.
