It’s a training ball. Not a match ball.
It also aesthetically bad and takes away the anticipation.

I think they’re cool. Especially when a pro puts a lot of stuff on it.It’s a training ball. Not a match ball.

its not a training ball. It was never meant to be a training ball. It came originally with the tv balls so you could see how the ball was spinning from the spectator chair. So what you say makes no sense. It’s a training ball. Not a match ball.

as explained to you already, not a training ball, made for tv viewingI think it’s a crutch for most players. They can’t play with blanks. They don’t know if they hit the ball correctly or not.
We have them at my pool hall but you have to ask. I was in line paying and had some guy waiting behind me ready to trade out the ball with the bartender. Apparently he followed me. Geez.
I switch back and forth and prefer playing with blanks for money but my opponents will automatically ask to swap it before we even start.
When the heck did it became the default ball.
I get more joy not seeing the cue ball spin and seeing it do exactly what I want. I don’t like to see it spin or show my hand.
Not completely blank. It has the little red circle. lol. Not filled in for a reason. Perhaps the measle was made for TV.
how does it train you ?It’s a training ball. Not a match ball.

So it's educational. That's what it's supposed to be.I think it’s a crutch for most players. They can’t play with blanks. They don’t know if they hit the ball correctly or not.

That is honestly the first time I ever heard that... lol.I think it’s a crutch for most players. They can’t play with blanks. They don’t know if they hit the ball correctly or not.
Don't you think that the reaction of the cue ball will also tell your opponent how you hit the cue ball? In fact I would wager to bet that there is more to be learned from watching cue ball action vs watching some dots.I think it’s a crutch for most players. They can’t play with blanks.
