Any cue aficionado who fails to take advantage of this offer will surely live to regret his decision. For those unmoved by the overwhelming altruistic motivation presented by Ukraine's predicament, this deal remains one which, from a purely financial evaluation, demands to be taken advantage of. To me it is a totally lopsided proposition. It is what we used to refer to in the pool hall as a "No Brainer".

Further, the continued support of Ukraine by nothing less than the entire free world is of the utmost importance. Russia's success will only result in further struggles implicating not just the freedom of Europe but of our entire world. Back in the '70s, Fram Oil Filters ran an advertising campaign conveying a profound message which speaks loudly to many of the challenges which I have repeatedly encountered during my life and which has repeatedly proven itself true in a variety of my experiences:

With reference to another No Brainer, please consider the issue of on-going support between the US, Europe, and Ukraine in which one side is to contribute money while the other tenders, among other things, blood. And not mere "blood", mind you, but the sanctified blood of patriots zealously fighting for both their motherland and, coincidentally, for the freedom of our world as well .

I submit that a contribution such as Ukraine's is not one which which can be bought for any price, and they present us with a transaction which must be unconditionally accepted. Ukraine's contribution is, in fact, not quid pro quo but rather her gift to us -- the fortunate inhabitants of a, presently, free and peaceful world. Ukraine deserves, and must be given, our unconditional and unending support of every kind until Putin and his supporters are finally and completely vanquished from this Earth.

All glory to Ukraine and her ultimate victory!

Got my cue today (#51)! After playing for a couple of hours with it, this may easily become my everyday playing cue. Now I need to get in touch with Anton and see about getting another shaft or two.

Also waiting. Tracking is a little weak. It has said, “Container with your shipment has been processed at the airport” since the 9th.

Hopefully comes soon. Very excited!

Same picture pack of cue as: Paul_#_ in 181

Most impressive to even have gotten here....
very happy to have a piece of history

I second everything Biloxi Boy says in #183.

Received mine today, had ordered blank only, will ask John Nemec to finish it out. Very happy and am ordering another today. Thanks Anton

I received mine this morning, about 15 weeks after I made a donation. I made no special requests. It's a 60 inch cue, 19 ounces, 12.25mm at the ferrule. Fit and finish is excellent. Very nice cue and profits going for a good cause. Thank you Anton!

Please allow me to rephrase -- Any cue aficionado who fails to take advantage of this offer is ate-up with extremely poor judgement.

Judging from y'alls reactions, these cues are nothing short of amazing. Also amazing to me is Anton's willingness to continue with his original offer. At some point, if I were Anton, either the price is going to go up or the deal going to go away completely. I suppose I simply fail to adequately comprehend the finer aspects of his motivation. I do, however, understand this much -- as long as Anton is willing, I am compelled to advance his cause.

It may come as a surprise to some, but on occasion I myself have wandered off into a swamp of hotly contested opinion. In the midst of any such challenging circumstance, I have always taken a good measure of comfort in discovering I was not alone in the contentious miasma but that at least one other was willing to stand beside me. I have analyzed this deal from both perspectives, and repeatedly concluded a $30.00 profit is "just not enough sugar for a dime". But then, just as surely, I remember that money is seldom everything and a committed ally is often more than money can buy.

So dig deep boys, and order these elusive butterfly cues. A finely made full splice cue, steeped and imbued with both patriotism and love of liberty of the finest sorts . . . for only a hundred bucks. In the beginning there may have been, for the most skeptical among us, the detraction of uncertain delivery, but at this juncture, Anton has a proven record of performance. Not only do I believe he can and will deliver, he has proven as much.

100 bonus points for using the word, “miasma”. 😎

I searched and didn’t see if it said already if you can pick the joint you want or how much extra to donate if so. Anyone help me out?

Anton said this in his post on jan 13th 2023.....-----

Also I'm adding a bit of customization to the challenge. 4 options with an extra cost and benefits.

1) Cue blank. It is free for a person who has participated in the challenge. You pay only $50 for delivery.

2) Cue butt with custom length, weight, balance point, jump/break split, joint type, ringwork, joint and bumper diameters. It costs $150 extra + delivery.

3) Complete cue with a plain black or white shaft. Custom length, weight, balance point, jump/break split, joint type, ringwork, joint and bumper diameters, tip type and diameter, shaft taper. It costs $200 extra + delivery

4) Complete cue with a spliced black or white shaft. Custom length, weight, balance point, jump/break split, joint type, ringwork, joint and bumper diameters, tip type and diameter, shaft taper. It costs $300 extra + delivery

I am going to need some JPs. A second shaft is a possibility. Plus, I want to cover the shipping. However, since I have opted for my cue to be shipped "last", I figure that I will wait until I hear that sending my rig is on Anton's horizon and address the minutiae. At some point I began to feel that the best thing we could do for Anton is to give him as much slack as was possible. Each of us has been is some type of situation in which pressure threatened us with paralysis. (If not, just wait.) And hopefully we all have also caught that refreshing, cool breeze respite of someone throwing in a life line -- nothing like it. Don't know Anton's exact circumstances, but I figured it could not hurt.
