Are you talking to me? If so reported. Fined...the break and ball for lunch.it seems the real problem
is you guys are trying to be "real" pool players in a banger environment
LOL its my topic !!no
to be on topic
the room owner can do what they want
its dubious at best to me that the delta rack is causing chipping of the pool balls
regardless
if your friend wants to replicate his home room results let him invite the league to his house
dont you see he wants to play on his terms
even tho using the delta rack is better than most racks than what is used in the room
the other players are used to the house racks
shouldn't they be allowed to replicate what they play with too?
The room owner does not mind what is being used? The LO is the one complaining? The balls come in from the outside? The league operators are guilty of nit picking and bring stress to where there is none. However it's their league their rules. Do you care..does it matter to you? Does it effect your/teams game. To repeat.. a rack does not damage balls when properly used.Hey guys,
Just a question if the brains trust can help.
I have a friend with a Delta who brings it with him to league nights to replicate the experience he gets from his home table racks,
and now the people who run our local league have banned the triangles as they are claiming they chip and scratch the comp ball sets for league nights.
We absolutely can not see that this is the case and its certainly not noticeable from a home perspective and are more inclined to think this is being done politically and also to disadvantage our side.
Can the fellow owners of metal triangles shed some light on this if you can please ?
Thankyou...To repeat.. a rack does not damage balls when properly used.
I'm not sure how people who think the Delta's are so loud rack but if if you don't rack like a maniac they really are not that loud. Maybe its because I don't roll the racked balls back and forth over the rack area a dozen times slamming the balls back and forth in the rack. From my vantage point the actual break is orders of magnitude louder than racking. Just sayin.A. NO, they don't AND B. WHERE do people hear this shit??? they work perfectly but they are LOUD if you dont put in some silencer material.
Do you not understand what I mean? ...buy your own plastic diamond and use that. I don't care if the ones there are hot shit on a platter. Buy one for $30 and scratch your name in it so there's no question.as above, the supplied ones in the tables are some 6-8 years old going by how long the league has been operating and are the same ones since day dot.
When not a league night, the room is a general pool corner available for all punters in an alcohol infused environment so you can image the treatment of the stock equipment over the years and again the Diamond triangles are not being replaced or maintained.

You paying ? Or ?Do you not understand what I mean? ...buy your own plastic diamond and use that. I don't care if the ones there are hot shit on a platter. Buy one for $30 and scratch your name in it so there's no question.
You are in a league that for whatever nitty reason won't let you use a metal one. It does no good to argue. Start your own league or suck it up and don't use metal. Once again, buy a plastic diamond billiards brand rack and use that. It will produce perfect racks.
I don't give a rats ass about the condition of the equipment there. I'm the guy that tells you an easy solution. Take it or leave it, I'm done with this asinine thread.
There is always the possibility of a metal rack damaging a ball or cloth on the table. Less likely with plastic. It also might not be up to the league operator the room owners might not want them too.
The balls are 4 sets that only come out for league and 30mins prior warm up. They are cleaned (spin machine) each night before comp too.The balls coming in from the outside might be chipped from someone's home table. Maybe they came in that way. All of a sudden the owner sees it and freaks...and it's the leagues fault.
Delta 13 racks I have 2. I'm more concerned it will get dropped onto the table and nick the cloth. Other wise it a well designed triangle.
Ohh and just an FYI, we all dont have the luxury of living in the states, so your $30 easy solution ? lol i agree .. All i wanted was some info and yet here we are !!Strange thread ha ha ha. Have your teammate buy and use his own magic rack. They’re way better anyway.
Have the balls actually been damaged or is it just a fear?asking if their reasoning is justified based on damaging the balls, not creating any sort of unfair playing field !!
You got your answer multiple times... let me bold it and make it large so maybe you will get it. Read this slowly.
