I thought they held qualifiers from all over,to make the rest of the field. Obviously they hold a few spots back.
if you by all over mean all over the world, then no. they were mostly in the US. only one in asia i think.

Bingo, and that is absolutely not how it is for other sports. I can type in a quick google search and see who is competing against who, the score of a game that just ended or that is in session, etc...If I want to watch, I'll pay.
I just wanted to see the scores, and that's not available without having to log into MR. It's no longer freely posted on their website, as it was for last year's tourney. You need to log in. What's that about?

OMG at the end of the video above Earl shows his shoes and said, "That's why you need these"...to reach. Here is the cue he is using.
There was a Facebook post of Earl letting Ko pin yi use the cue.... saying you get one shot...he was barely able to hold it with his tiny hands as he fired in a full table cut shot.
Here is the clip Ko pin yi is laughing about it....

I watch PGA golf and its free. I get my tv from a off-the-air antenna. Don't pay for shit. If its on cable i don't watch it. A lot of sports are free to watch. That said i don't blame MR at all here. Obviously having people sign up is a marketing deal but that's ok by me.Why should it be free?
You have to pay in some way to watch every other major sport.
That's ridiculous. He looks at it for two seconds. Decided that's the shot and fires it in. WowI like Corey Deuel's draw shot after the push, game #2 approx 4:30 in
I can only assume it is because if you have a users email address it is far easier and cheaper to promote events and news. It irked me as well, but it is a pretty smart move.Matchroom gets most things right but keeping match brackets/results private to members only is silly.
Don't know of any event or sports where the match results are privateThey can make the brackets/results publicly available (to non-members) and everything else like players profile can be private so that members still access to more info than non-members. Publicising match data helps promote market matchroom- anyone who wants to look at results has to go to link on wntlivescore.com website
Also not really necessary to setup new separate wntlivescores.com For more focused branding, better to just add the site on subdomain of the mother matchroompool site eg. wntlivescore.matchroompool.com
Let me guess.

Free for the entire world, except America.
Viewers in the US will be required to sign up for DAZN to watch.
It will also not show up on "trending now" unless you give MR your email address.
