What is your HIGH RUN?

The Power vs precision debate is epic. Power is soooo exhibition. Back in the day...at The White Spot. The most powerful break had whitey going straight up off the break my picture illustrations. On the 9 foot goldcrown, he was real close to touching the light with whitey. That's Power! Cole was the guy they called for the giant break and run pot. He broke with his shooter because precision trumps power. So when you have Both.......oh wow gotta find the Snooker video of Ronnie and Higgins. Check out the....well just check it out. Not sure if this is the one I stumbled upon last night. It had multiple shots with balls leaving the bed of the table. At one point he jumps the pack of reds.....legally. 🤷‍♂️

Color me green! I can almost taste the cool crisp air. I used to make a few runs to the high desert every year.

The video I want was a long race. They call it 33 I call it a race to 17. The headline was greatest ever. Complete. Might have been taken down. 🤷‍♂️
Years ago the top players from overseas came to Toronto for a tournament. It was great watching these guys practice and play and it was White and Hendry in the final. We were in the poolhall and they had one of those electronic msg signs saying congratulations to Joe C. For his 147 and Steve Davis reads the sign and says Joe Who? We started laughing lol

When I was younger I had a break I called the Texas two step. I would take two steps towards the table, get down and shoot in one flowing motion. From center table, 9 ball break. One time, the CB popped straight up and hit the chandelier. I still to this day have no idea why Scott (the owner) had a chandelier over the center table. Well, he was trying to sell it. All the tables (except two gold crowns) were home tables and they were all for sale.

But yeah, every time it was a square hit that CB would pop up 3-6 feet in the air and drop straight back down on the table. Unfortunately, the break wasn't consistent enough to use regularly.

edit: I have to laugh at myself, this is the second time I've said I have no idea to this day, that upon actually thinking about it for a few seconds, I realized that I did have an idea...lol

Oh gosh and Mink hits the longest straight pot possible. No Really cueball on the last thread in the Jaws with red mid table. My assessment of her eye pattern indicates like Ronnie. Shrug 🤷‍♂️ I could be wrong. Her skills are so impressive.

The frame is up but the match isn't. Mink is getting Hamilton's lesson in seasoning or is it with his 30 odd years experience. This _oung lady will dominate a ladies event.

Into the 4th round but "What a struggle ".
Gotta promote the event as big names are in the mix.

Warren Sapp just reminded me of a saying I had forgotten. It's martial arts related.
Warren said:
I don't fear the man that practices one thousand kicks. I fear the man that practices one kick a thousand times.
That is Dan Louie, well the part I am familiar with. Shrug 🤷‍♂️

By game.

My high run is:
-5 racks of 9 ball and
-3 racks of 8 ball.

NOT PLAYING THE GHOST.

I've done 3-4 racks of 9 ball countless times. And ran sets to the hill out if you count snookering the opponent and then continuing the run. But let's just stick to straight break and runs. And PLEASE GIVE US THE ACTUAL NUMBER. Unfortunately I realize I'm giving my actual high run and most will add 50% lol.
3 pack in 9 and 8 ball, I don't remember if I had any 3 packs in 10 ball. Straight pool is very low but I don't play it ever, maybe in the 40s. Missing the break shot is my nemesis LOL.

Funny story about my 9 ball runs: a while ago I was in a weekly tournament and some random younger players came in and joined. I drew one of them. I broke and ran the first 3 games on the pool kid, and was about to get through the 4th as I thought "they just walked in to play and here I am just having him rack for me", I felt guilty and missed so he would get to the table to play at least once. A bit later I realized I sacrificed a new break and run record in order to be nice LOL.

Man, sure seems to be a lot of short stop or better players posting in this thread. Uncanny, really.

Pretty sure my high run for break and runs is zero, but my memory is a bit hazy, so I could be off slightly.

Now, who wants to give me the orange crush? I'll also take 11-5 in one pocket if you prefer.

Do U have a 'Brail' keyboard?
C'mon, what's your Real name?
Stevie Wonder, Jose Feliciano, Ronnie Milsap! LOL!

Can change my 8-ball high run to 6 racks. Playing on a 4.25" Diamond (having played pretty much everyday at the refurbed local hall on 4" Rasson Accura or Mr.Sung tables since being back, it felt like it had gargantuan pockets). My opponent was no slouch, having been multiple age group champion in the city. Lovely dude who I met recently. He's going to do some more study in America next year, reckon he could make a fair bit of money there. Was 5-4 down in a race to 10, and then I made him sit down for the next half an hour.

We had a nice hot pot after, and rabbited on about cues. He plays with 5K Zen cue which is something else. Will get some pictures of it up here some time. Much too jazzy for me, but he had it all custom made and got me wanting to get something made by them when contract bonus comes round. Think it's a three year wait at the moment he was saying.

10-6.
