Buffalo's Pro Classic 2025

Definitely turned out bad. But what was he supposed to do there? He's got to give him the ball, and he was clearly worried about leaving Sky the bank. Maybe make Sk's ball and draw the cue ball up table?

it's possible he tried to go three rails to top pocket and he just caught it thick. i find it hard to believe he tried to make or hang his ball

Buffalo's on Bloomfield's Pro One Pocket event will resume at noon CDT Saturday.
We are down to the final 8 players.
A lot of prize money is at stake now in every match.

The TV table feature match will showcase Devin Poteet against Fedor Gorst.

Races to 5 and no GradyRule make this brutally slow. I like 1p but not this much. Some may call it classic 1p but the up table wedge-a-thon is just painful to sweat.

it's for the purists for sure, but i'm glad there is one such tournament. and there are mostly aggressive players left now. chohan vs filler is a fun one. idk if they have played since their money match in 2020

i was kinda amazed at how few people were sitting table-side for the Gorst-Tony match. There 'might' have been ten people watching two of the best on the planet. good thing Buff's is 24hr joint otherwise this event would take three extra days.

Having to watch the up-table wedge game is cruel and unusual punishment and, therefore, violates my constitutional rights. I get it when somebody who is ahead 6-1 starts sending everything up table, but when it is routinely done by a player who leads a rack 2-0, I have a hard time accepting it.

I bought the stream for this event and have watched several matches. We are seeing the old school, more defense-oriented game of guys like Jones, Frost, Hennessee and Roberts. Nobody questions that they are incredibly skilled in doing their thing, but it is a lot more fun to watch the guys who take a few more chances, like Gorst, Chohan, Filler, Lunda, SVB, Woodward, Thorpe and Gomez.

For this fan, a race to five is already a marathon, and maybe the folks at Heyball have a point in imposing a time limit for a match.

Well said. Totally agree here.

Do we think these two match times are legit? I notice both ended at 7:12 am. Maybe that's when the TD input the scores the next morning after he woke up (guess on my part)? Or were they really 7 and 10 hrs?

Those time are legit

Marathon grind it out matches lol

These guys are playing for most prize money ever in a one pocket event and every shot is crucial

i'm on a different time zone but i slept, had breakfast, went to the gym, went to the grocery while their match was ongoing lol. when frost raked the wedge at 2-2 i thought he wouldn't go on much longer, but they played another 5 hours with another monster wedge in there

i would be surprised if JJ has anything left in the tank against svb after that marathon

These are some of the most insane times I've ever seen for a tournament. Is it always like this? I don't remember matches at previous DCCs even taking this long.

Darren Appleton was in a DCC one pocket match against Tom Spencer (1970s star from Michigan? edit: Chicago), and was ahead 2-0 in games and 5-2 in balls or something like that. He told the ring game organizer that he should be ready shortly. After a total of seven and a half hours, he had lost, and had missed the ring game. That was only 5 games total. BPC can go to 9 games.

DCC Short races and short dollars in comparison. Imagine the last 40-50 at DCC all being undefeated and then extending the race.
