Buffalo's Pro Classic 2025

poteet is poteen' up quite a fight. 4-3 over fedor

Blood in the water now. Anybody left in the tournament is going to go down fighting for every ball. I do notice some surprisingly lopsided scores. I suspect those are matches with one player rested and the other exhausted. Everybody left has cash, everybody left wants more and thinks they can get it!

Darren Appleton was in a DCC one pocket match against Tom Spencer (1970s star from Michigan?), and was ahead 2-0 in games and 5-2 in balls or something like that. He told the ring game organizer that he should be ready shortly. After a total of seven and a half hours, he had lost, and had missed the ring game. That was only 5 games total. BPC can go to 9 games.

Tom Spencer was from Chicago

Poteet wins rack nine on Fedor's break with some fantastic play. Six are left. Filler, Chohan, SVB, Gomez, Poteet and Woodward.

biggest one pocket tournament ever? there is only 92000 total in the pot. 3rd place was what ten grand. thats a joke.

the calcutta is just a separate bet and many of the players may not be in it at all.

I don't know...

I think all the players go in with full knowledge that the real dough is in the calcutta -- no surprises there.

yea but they have to put up their share to be in it. so they are just gambling big time. that's fine with me. but only a small few will take it off. very rarely does the longer or middle shot players get the calcutta money.

so many here said that raising the entry fee was bad as you wouldn't get players. but with the high calcuttas it says differently.

as those putting in calcutta money would gladly take any piece of the action on a player with a good chance so the entry fees could go way up and still have the players. with the ultimate prize pools being something to talk about and increase streaming and such.

I kinda think you into a calcutta like that looking for value bets and avoid going for the high dollar guys.

Lou Figueroa

the smart money is in the high value guys in calcuttas. especially in smaller ones where the average bidders stop at some point thinking they cant afford to go higher but the top players are far more value(called an overlay) for the money than it seems.
