Diamond Professional Delivery Time

Looking down the road a couple of years or so..........

If I decide I don't really like this Diamond Professional either I might just sell - or try and sell - both the Gold Crown IV and the Diamond Professional and buy myself a brand new Gold Crown VII.

Time will tell, I guess. But the best playing table I have ever played on was a Diamond Professional table owned by Diana Minor. She used to play on the WPBA tour and lives about two hours from me.

I don’t care if you buy a diamond table, but why are you trash talking GC tables?
It’s not the table’s fault, a GC IV is a great table. I do believe any perceived problems lie elsewhere.

We are all still waiting on how many balls he can throw out and run with BIH. It's comical at this point, saying he has $$$ so he can't have it laying around. Complaining about the wait time, but not willing to go used.

I'm not bashing Gold Crown tables. Or the Gold Crown IV.

I'm just saying my GCIV is either jinxed and/or it plays extremely tough.

This new Diamond will most certainly play better than my GCIV.

I have a GC4 and Diamond Pro. The GC4 is from 1998. If I could only have one it’s the Crown. I might have posted that before.

You might have a better playing one than I do. As everyone is aware, tables can vary from one to the other.

Worst case scenario a year or two down the road I sell either the GCIV or the Diamond Professional.

Then again, I might just keep them both.

I own the rental property. It's a 3-car garage with a 1,000 sq ft living quarters above it. I do NOT rent it anymore. Renters are a royal pain. Three of the last four the police got involved, damage was done, and one renter got thrown in jail and then later killed in a car wreck running from the police. NO MORE RENTERS for me!

Currently the neighbors rent the entire place for storage only. After the first of the year, however, I am going to take the upstairs apartment back over again and put the Diamond Professional table up there. I believe my renters will still rent the garage stalls for storage and cars, however.

Here is a pic of the rental property. My red brick house is right next to it, about 30 feet away.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering.......where the Diamond table will sit there are seven (7) extra floor joists underneath.
I went the opposite way many years ago. I was living in a small one bedroom cottage in Venice and wanted my own poolroom. So I rented a two car garage and converted it into a poolroom, putting down carpet and hanging a light overhead. Had a nice GC 3 in there for a couple of years before I bought my house in Lawndale, and moved it. The garages were maybe fifty feet from the apartment building and sometimes the tenants would watch us from the windows playing pool. We never made a lot of noise and no one ever bothered us. If it got chilly outside I just lowered the garage door.

I showed it to Mike Shamos and he wrote about it in one of his books.

Nice! That will be way better than a basement. 1000 sq feet…. Can you put 2 tables side by side?

The new black material they have been using the past 5 or so years looks way better. (NOT the very first material after the Dymondwood factory burned down). I've been around a lot of those newer tables in commercial rooms, and have yet to see a single ding/scratch/blemish on any of those rails. Whatever that material is, its just as good as the Dymondwood was for durability.
Can confirm. In addition, if you are not careful the rails will put nice dings in your cue.
